Let me share with you some of my secrets on how to make gel candles. Gel candles come in an amazing assortment of shapes, colors and fragrances. They provide extremely good value for money because they are amongst the longest burning candles on the market and they provide wonderful effects.
With gel candles you often have to look closely to notice that they are actually candles. These candles are often formed to look like fruit or jars of fruit with a very realistic appearance. If you didn’t know better you would think that it was fruit freshly picked from the garden. They work the same as regular wax candles in the respect that they will burn in the same way that wax candles burn but they are made a little differently.
How To Make Gel Candles Using The Right Kinda of Oils
Wax candles are made from oil. The same is true with gel candles but they are made of 95% mineral oil and 5% polymer resin. The resin starts out as a powder but when it is mixed with the mineral oil it is transformed into a solid state. Gel wax comes in three different states: high density, medium density, and low density.
The higher the density, the more fragrance the oil can hold. Plus, the thicker gel will hold the suspended decorations with in the candle. But, keep in mind that the thicker gel takes longer to meld and it is harder to pour. These gel candles can be held by a wide variety of containers. Glass is preferred because they give the safest and best results.
If you don’t like glass, any non-flammable holder will suffice. If you want to add you own flair you can purchase fancy containers, such as a vase or even wine glasses. If you want to add even more color some people suggest you use embeds. Embeds can be anything that will not burn, like glitter, crystals, or sea shells.
How To Make Gel Candles: It’s All In The Burn
The steps that go into making a candle out of regular wax such as melting the wax and pouring it in a mold to dry are the same steps you need to do in making gel candles. But, the equipment you use and the techniques are slightly different. With other types of candle wax most people use a double boiler to melt the wax.
But, trying to melt gel wax in a double boiler would take way too long. Some gel candle makers have turned to multi-cookers to get the job done. A multi-cooker is kind of like a deep fryer. They typically are metal with a non-stick coating. They have a separate heating element with a temperature dial so you can get the proper temperature to melt the gel wax. Rather then using two separate pots one with water and one to melt the wax in, the gel wax is placed directly in the multi-cooker to melt.
Although the multi-cooker comes with a temperature dial, it is still a good idea to use a separate thermometer to make sure that the gel is melted at the proper temperature. Use something metal or hard plastic to stir the gel wax. Wooden spoons can sometimes add bubbles to the gel. The most important thing to remember is that gel candle wax can catch fire. Make sure you have a chemical fire extinguisher near by.
It is also possible to change the color of the gel candle wax by using dyes. Liquid candle dyes are perfect for gel candles because they can maintain the translucency of the gel. It only takes a very small amount of the dye to actually change the color of the wax. Sometimes even a drop of dye is too much.
You should never use crayons, clothing dye, food coloring, or soap dyes in gel candle wax.
They will not burn right because they are not made specifically for candles. Learning how to make gel candles is fast and easy. There are so many possibilities when it comes to creating wonderful candles with gel wax. The best thing about gel candles is that you can add decorations directly to the wax so that they float within the candle.
This is a clever and unique way to personalize a gift if you are making the candle for someone else. Plus, gel candles burn slower then regular wax candles so they will last a little longer. I hope I have given you a good idea about how to make gel candles, but you need to goto the ink below and get more detailed information.
Candle making is growing in popularity and the candle making waxhas made strides to become better, more available, and with more diversity then before. People are constantly looking for the new thing and since wax is the main component in candle making, the changes have been there.
Choosing the wax for candle making is extremely crucial, as the wax serves as the main fuel for the candle to burn. There are a myriad of different varieties of wax available. Each variety has its own unique qualities. They type of wax you use, has a bearing on the appearance of the candle.
Candle Making Wax: How To Melt Your Wax
One important thing to remember about candle making wax is to be aware of the melting point of the wax, as you need to pour the wax at that time. Basically the melting point can be referred to, as the temperature at which the wax starts melting. Most of the wax used in candles today is refined from petroleum like paraffin wax. This is the type of wax that is in most candles.
Paraffin wax is readily available and inexpensive.
The paraffin that changes from solid to liquid state, has a melting point, which is medium level. The temperatures range from 130 to 145 degree Fahrenheit. It’s advisable to use this wax for pouring candles. Other types of waxes are natural and refined from vegetable or plant materials like soy, palm, or bayberry.
A natural wax growing in popularity is soy based wax. It is processed by hydrogenating soybeans which makes them suitable for candles. Soy wax is a renewable resource that is eco-friendly. The best part about soy wax is that the majority of soybeans are grown in the United States primarily in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana.
Palm wax is also natural and a renewable resource. Unfortunately with the growing popularity of palm wax, countries like Indonesia and Malaysia were clearing our vast areas of rain forest in order to plant palm plantations.
This is devastating to ecosystems and compromises the populations of endangered animals like orangutans, rhinoceroses and the Sumatran tiger. Thankfully, the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) stepped in and founded RSPO. This organization was founded to develop and define the best practices for sustainable palm cultivation. They also help member organizations to implement and verify the procedures.
So when you are shopping for palm wax make sure that they are obtaining wax in an eco-friendly way. Some candles are made from animal based materials like beeswax. Candles made from beeswax, palm, and bayberry were offered by companies in the past.
Recently there has been a new and growing interest in making candles out of these natural products. One of the more popular natural waxes is beeswax. It is available in yellow or white. Although the cost of beeswax can be expensive, candle makers are drawn to its pleasant fragrance, the burning characteristics it contains, and the hardiness of the product.
Candle Making Wax Types
Beeswax is compulsory in church candles, the amount varying between churches and their ruling bodies. Though it gives a better end result, beeswax is generally too expensive for candles designed for home use. Less costly designs such as those you see selling at craft fairs and flea markets can be created from synthetic waxes available from craft shops and specialist suppliers.
A tiny amount of beeswax added to artificial wax improves the appearance and fragrance of your candle. Beeswax can be obtained from most local beekeepers’ associations and from specialist suppliers. gel candles are also a new kind of way to make candles. It is a clear, rubbery texture but works the same as wax. Gel wax is available in three different densities. The density of the gel that the candle requires depends upon the type of candle you are planning to make and how much fragrance you are planning to use.
Low density gel wax is best for candles with a 0-3% fragrance load. Also, the low density can be poured at a lower temperature. The medium density gel wax works well with candles that have a 3-5% fragrance load. It is probably the most popular gel wax to work with. High density gel wax is better for candle with a heavier fragrance load.
With so many different kinds of wax available, candle maker are able to pick the type that works best for them. When a candle maker is able to understand each kind of wax, they are able to fully experience every inch of the candle making market and get double, triple or even quadruple the fulfillment. Candle making is an art form, which survives even today.
The two most important ingredients to master this candle making art form are time and patience. Stick to these two ingredients and the rest of the things about making candle will follow. I hope I have given you a basic idea about candle making wax and you can get more information by clicking on the link below.

“Who Else Wants Some Simple candle designs That Are Easy To Make?“
Dear Friend,
Are you looking for some simple candle designs? You come to the right place. Candles have been used for centuries and as a business candle-making have enjoyed a long and varied history. Despite decades of technological improvements in most industries, the very best candles and the most expensive are still made by hand.
Simple Candle Designs During The Holidays
Simple candle designs – represents a very profitable and enjoyable opening for modern day craft workers, especially during the holiday seasons. During the holidays, candles are purchased for decorative and functional purposes. Simple candle designs are easy to make and you will have so much fun just making your own candles.
The best candles are made from beeswax, sometimes in their entirety, sometimes with beeswax added to man-made ingredients.
Making Simple Candle Designs
Simple candle designsare easy to make and only when you begin to experiment with texture, color and shape does the task become more difficult. Popular marketable designs including unusual shapes, layers of different colors, odd textures, chunky designs, and candles decorated with sequins and beads, hand-painted types and novelty shapes like Santa’s at Christmas, eggs at Easter, and witches at Halloween.
The real secret of success in this business is to make your designs different, hopefully unique. This blueprint is designed for the newcomer, who should supplement his knowledge by careful market research, noting what the competition is doing, and what new designs and marketing methods can be incorporated into his own business.
Depending on the size you want your candle to be, take a piece of beeswax and melt it in a bowl over a pan of gently simmering water. Take a piece of wick and dip it in the wax up to the required length. Remove the wick and dip it again. Do this repeatedly, allowing the wax to build up in layers until it reaches the desired thickness. When complete, hang the candle by the wick in a cool place to harden.
Colored candles can be made from pre-dyed wax or by giving a white candle a final dip in colored wax. If beeswax is too expensive or hard to find, use synthetic wax instead. Prepare a large clean workspace without bumps or ridges. Cover with craft paper. Have all the necessary equipment at hand ruler, scissors, pins, decorations, wicks, cutters (biscuit cutters are useful), craft wax sheets.
Lay out the craft wax sheets and leave to warm to room temperature. For a really simple candle designs, cut a piece of wick an inch longer than you want your candle to be and lay it along one side of the wax sheet, about 1/8th inch from the edge. Leave the extra inch of wick protruding at the top of the ‘finished’ candle. Very carefully, fold the edge of the wax over the wick. Smooth into place and give a gentle tug to make sure the wick is properly in place.
Keep rolling the wax around the wick until you reach the desired thickness. Cut the wax and smooth out the edges and joins. Stores somewhere cool, not cold, and out of direct sunlight. This was just a few of the simple candle designs, but you can find more in my book “Secrets to Successful Candle Making“.

Basic candle making has been around for centuries and the concepts of candles as not changed much over the years. The use of candles for light and heat is known to have existed in ancient times. The remains of candles have been found in the caves of France.
Basic Candle Making Where It All Begin
It is believed that cavemen used basic candle making skills while painting and etching on the walls. It is believed those candles where made out of animal fat. The Egyptians used basic candle making skills as well by dripping beeswax onto leave stems. Basic candle making involves a few basic elements such as solids, liquids, gas, and plasma.
For some, it is a very profitable business venture. Candle making provides you with they ability to create wonderful designs and crafts out of your candles. There is no limit to the shapes, sizes, and colors you can make your candles in. A candle is a device to provide light or fragrance.

Others smell like a chocolate cake or cinnamon rolls. The body of a candle is generally made of paraffin wax. It can also be made out of beeswax. Paraffin wax is a natural wax that comes from plants. This wax can be purchased from Petroleum Refinery or the Specialty Wax Processor.
Beeswax is also considered a natural wax, and is taken from honeybees. This is the substance the bees use to construct their honeycombs. A wick is placed in the center of the wax before it dries. The wick is made of cotton fibers that have been braided together. The wick is very thin, but also very powerful. Sometimes candle makers will use a wick that is wider than normal to increase the size of the flame.
Basic Candle Making – Keeping It Safe
Safety is a very important part of candle making.
The temperature of the hot wax can result in severe burns. There is also the risk of fire. Make sure your candle making area is set up properly and that you have a fire extinguisher in the area. “Who Else Wants To Learn About The Different Types of Candle Making Molds?”
Dear Friend,
You can’t make a candle if you don’t have the right candle making molds. But before we get into candle making molds, let’s talk about why people make candles. Although a good number of people learn How to Start a Candle Making Business because it has relatively low set-up cost and is simple to operate, the vast majority of people start making candles simply because it is fun.
Melting down wax, adding in the colors and scents, and creating imaginative molds and shapes is fun way to make a living compared to a lot of the options out there. If you would like to give your creative side a chance to have some fun while making serious money, then you need to consider learning how to start a candle making business of your very own!
Now back to candle making molds. The wax will hold the shape of the mold when it has cooled completely. candle molds are made out of a variety of materials, sizes, shapes, and styles. They also offer a variety of different uses.
Types of Candle Making Molds
Aluminum candle making molds are a very popular type of mold candle maker’s use. They are durable and heat resistant. Plus, they leave a smooth finish without leaving any seams in the finished candle. This gives the candles the appearance of being professionally made. These types of metal molds are widely used in making votive and pillar candles. They are also inexpensive when compared to rubber molds.
A plus about aluminum molds is that they are easy to clean. All you need to do is to put them on a baking sheet in your oven. By placing them upside down and heating them to about 150 degrees the leftover wax will milt and run out of the mold onto the cookie sheet.
Just remember to line your cookie sheet. The down side to aluminum molds is that they are not flexible so there are very little choices when it comes to varying the shapes or textures of the candles and that they require a releasing agent to get the candle out of the mold. The different types of candle making moldsthat are available to buy to make candles at home are almost as endless and the amount of different candles out there.
It is realistic to think that with such a popular hobby like candle making and the popularity of people buying candles for their homes, there would be a lot of different types of candle making molds available on the market.
Non-standard Candle Making Molds
On the other hand, rubber molds like polyurethane, silicone, or latex molds are very flexible. Polyurethane molds are flexible but they do not stretch well. They are usually a little bit cheaper then silicone molds. Unfortunately, they have a strong odor that may be able to be passed along in your candle and they will need a releasing agent to get the candle out of it.
Often times pillar and taper candles are made from these types of molds. Silicone molds are another type of rubber mold. They are the most expensive molds because of their outstanding qualities. They leave no parting lines; they are flexible but also stretchable to a point so getting the candles out of the molds is easier and requires no releasing agent.
Although latex molds used to be used very often, with the advances in other types of rubber molds they are loosing their luster. But, it is very easy to make your own molds at home by using liquid latex and painting it onto a structure at home. This process requires a lot of coats of latex but, the options of different types of unique molds are endless. Plastic candle molds are the cheapest but they are not always the best. They have a shorter lifespan then the rest because they are more brittle.
On the plus side, plastic molds are easy to clean. All you need to use is some warm water and a little soap. Just make sure that the mold is completely dry before you use it again or you will get water bubbles in your candles.
They are good molds for beginners but if you were to take your candle making hobby into the next level and turn it into a business you are probably going to have to invest in different types of candle making molds.

Here are some ideas to get you started doing these “little things” she really wants:
1. Rub her feet instead of asking her if she wants you to rub her feet. Make it look like you want to do it.
2. Make her dinner one night. Don’t ask her if she wants you tomake dinner. Make her dinner before she gets home.
3. Light a candle so that she arrives hometo a nice environment instead of coming hometo the glaring lights of the television and other things.
4. Send her a text in the middle of the day telling her “I miss your smile from this morning” or “Last night was amazing!” or “The conversation we had last night was great.”
5.
Send an eCard in the middle of the day… something cute to remind her how much you really care about her.
Send an eCard in the middle of the day… something cute to remind her how much you really care about her.
6. If she’s going on a business trip, offer to drive her to the airport or pick her up tomake her life that much easier.
7. Let her have control of the remote control. Don’t monopolize it for a change. Just give it to her and let her actually sit there and enjoying watching one of her shows. Then you can share one of her interests by watching it with her.
8. Offer to iron one of her shirts or take her clothes to the dry cleaner.
9. Clean up the bathroom without being asked. Don’t just sit there and ignore the mess around the toilet. If you know it drives her crazy to see water splashed all around the sink, dry that area after you use it.
10. If you work out together, enjoy it with her instead of rushing through your own workout and then not letting her workout at the same time.
11. Take a shower together, then wash her hair, scrub her back, and give her a spa treatment. Do this and enjoy it!
12. The next time she gives you a massage, give her a massage the next day. Offer it! Don’t just say you’ll give her a massage…do it!
13. Surprise her by making plans. Tell her, “We’re going out tonight honey.” You can even just go out for a drink or dinner somewhere. It’s taking the initiative that’s important.
14. Decide on and set aside one night a week as date night. Have a date like when you first started dating.
15. Call her in the middle of the day and just say hello. Don’t wait for her to call you.
It can be simple to keep her satisfied. It’s not necessarily about what you give her financially or what gifts you give her. That’s a cop out. It’s the little things. The guy who makes the biggest mistake is the one who ignores their significant other then all of a sudden give them an expensive gift tomake up for it. That doesn’t make up for it at all.
oh, i forgot to mention……..i got this from a guy

CandleMadeEasy answers:
Ok.
You will need to prepare 2-3 days in advance.
Have a specific room in your house.
Make sure it’s clean.
Have loads of white towels lying around.
A plan.
Some stuff to nibble on…nuts, fruits etc.
Here are some recipes for home beauty treatments…
Steaming.
This opens pores, improves circulation and helps cleanse the skin of impurities.
All you need is a large bowl, hot water and a really clean towel that will cover your head and shoulders.
Cover your face with the towel and lean over the bowl.
Stay there for about 5 minutes breathing slowly and deeply.
When you’re done splash your face with cold water to close the pores.
Home Made Facial Scrub.
2 Strawberries
1 Teaspoon of brown sugar (white if you don’t have any…)
OR
One tablespoon of honey.
Half a teaspoon of lemon juice.
Two teaspoons of oatmeal.
Mash them in a bowl.
Gently rub over face, concentrating on the area around the nose and chin.
Rinse off with cold water.
Home Made Face Masks.
1 banana
1 avocado
1/2 teaspoon honey.
Mix together and leave on face for ten minutes.
Place slices of cucumber of the eyes…(cold, chilled teabags will do the same but aren’t as glam!)
Rinse off the mask.
Moisturize the face.
Massage.
You can use baby oil for this or a moisturizing cream.
Rub the back in circular motions.
Light some candles and play some classical music.
Refreshments.
Smoothies.
You can use frozen fruit.
It’s dirt cheap and you can get it in any supermarket.
Frozen summer fruits are the most popular though.
Or you could select your own and leave them in the freezer over night.
Take two handfuls of frozen berries, a glass of orange juice, whizz it in the blender and that’s it.
You could put in some whippy cream if you’re feeling adventurous.
Salted nuts, chopped fruit and those tortilla crisps (Doritos) dipped in guacamole or hummus.
Ok…now for your dad and brothers.
You should probably tell them…give them a picnic, a football, cricket bat, baseball bat, swimming gear and threats that if they come back you will burn the TV.
If there is a lake or sea near by you could send them there.
Here are some websites for the sort of food you will need to make….
For the one above you won’t need to make a white wine vinegar…!
Make some soup with the sandwiches above…and for dinner make mac and cheese with some salad on the side.

Pregnancy/baby questions?
So I’m expecting my first baby December 16th…and I have some questions that..well basically I’m not sure any of my friends would know the answers, or I’d just feel dumb if i asked anyone I actually knew. So some help would be appreciated
1. Howeasy is it realistically to lose your baby weight after the pregnancy? And how much do you lose right away just as a result of having lost blood and the placenta and baby and amniotic fluid being out of you? I weighed about 160 before the pregnancy (and no, I was not considered overweight, and did not look fat.) and I’ve gained about 25lbs so far.
2. Assuming your baby is latched on in the correct way and you don’t ordinarily have tender or sore breasts, does breast feeding really hurt THAT bad? I know some women say they couldn’t do it because it hurt…but does it really? Or could it have just been that the baby didn’t latch on correctly?
3. Does your vagina ever really go back tohow tight it was before? And how long does it take to get smaller? I assume doing kegel exercises after the pregnancy as well as during would help.
4. How old should a baby be before you take them out in public places such as out shopping? (I’m not asking because I plan to be one of those mothers who insists on pushing their new baby around a mall all day to have people ooh and ahh over it, I’m asking because with him being due so close to Christmas, I may have tomake trips to the mall, and want to know if I could bring him or whether it’d be safer to leave him athome.)
5. Is there anything “Christmas season” related that I should avoid him being around?
(Candle/fireplace smoke, incense, glitter, certain plants ect.)
6. Any items that your baby had during his or her first year that they either really liked or helped out a lot?
7. Any helpful tips that someone (or no one) told you that have to do with pregnancy/labor/postpartum stage?
Also thought I’d let you know I have a home birth planned..so if anyone has any experience with this and what helped with pain or relaxation, that’d be nice to know also. I have taken Bradley classes so I’m not going in completely knowing nothing, haha.
CandleMadeEasy answers:
1. Realistically, its not easy. I was around 140 before pregnancy and 190 right before delivery. I spent a week in the hospital and had an appointment two days later, and weighed in around 160. I have not done any working out or exercising since he was born and I have stayed at 160. I am working on it, however I am diabetic and watching my food & blood sugars sometimes clash.
2. Breastfeeding is different for every woman. It didn’t hurt me, and he was latched on correctly. It actually made me feel closer to my baby and I never had any pain. However, he had some problems after his birth and had to be given a bottle so his interest in the breast was lost pretty quickly. I think pumping breast milk hurts a heck of a lot more than actual breastfeeding.
3. I am not sure about this one. I had a C-Section due to being diabetic. However, every book I read did mention that Kegels do work! A woman’s body is made to deliver a baby, so I don’t think it stretches and stays loose permanently. Over time it should go back to the way it was.
4. Its safer to leave newborns inside. Away from germs, strangers, the weather and more. Because they are so new and little, they are still building up strong immune system. If you don’t have a choice, just make sure the baby is warm and dressed properly. Babies tend to have different temps than you & I.. Rule is to dress the baby how you would dress, plus an extra layer. Use hand sanitizer and don’t be afraid to ask people to use it too!
5. I would for sure stay away from fireplace smoke, (heck, any smoke!) and incenses. Their little lungs do not need to breathe these things. Candles should be fine, and I’ve never heard of certain plants harming a baby or causing allergic reactions. But to be safe, just limit the over the top Holiday decor.
6. Oh my, there is a ton of things that helped out, and is still helping out. My son is nine months old and I have used a boppy pillow since I’ve brought him home. Make sure you have plenty of diapers and wipes of course! Depending on the hospital, they may send baby home with a Soothie pacifier, which are great! I also recommend the soothie bottles. I usually keep the following items in his diaper bag: Diapers; Wipes; Blanket; Change of Clothes & socks; Bibs; Formula container; Bottles; Tylenol; Thermometer; Baby Sunblock; Burp cloth; Bulb ( the bugger sucker lol) and his pacifiers.
7. Nobody told me about postpartum depression. I read about it and figured it wouldn’t be that bad. Oh my gosh, it was horrible. The day I found out we were being discharged, I was a basket case! I couldn’t stop crying. I cried all the way out to the car! When your in the hospital the nurses offer to take the baby so mom and dad can rest, but going home you know that the nurses wont be there too. I had it so bad, I would start crying for no apparent reason.
Best of luck!

Any interesting coming out stories? (mine included)?
I grew up in rural central Louisiana, the heart of Cajun country where football attendance is only second to church attendance. The town had maybe all of 1500 residence, with only a handful of struggling businesses non of which where a general store (GOD forbid your car breaks down ’cause the nearest town with all the essentials is a good few miles down the road), it is undoubtedly a conservative area to say the least. Luckily my family (which consisted of my signal mother and older brother) had only moved there when I was five, from a liberal state of course, so they were chock-full of “big city ideas” which eventually made coming-out to them slightly easier. To be more correct the page title should technically read “My Coming-Out Stories” ’cause I technically came-out for all of maybe a whole ten minutes in the seventh grade. It happened during recess, when me and my friends were playing basketball as we did everyday, I managed tomake a few good shots *cough* I always did *clears throat* and one of my friends chose to call me a few names for doing so *fag/queer/homo* one of those. And I having had come to that conclusion a few months earlier, thinking nothing of it, and being a natural badass said something along the lines of “yeah I am you got a problem with that?!” he made some snide remark and then I realized that everybody was snickering at me. I asked what was so funny to one of my other friends and he said something like “yeah right like you of all people would be gay” ironically I was shocked and offended of what he was saying to me *how dare he think that I could not be gay*! After quickly remembering all those lessons from Sunday school and Wednesday night bible study(which I attended regularly) I began to think it was all for the best that they thought I was joking and suddenly I began to tell both them and myself that it really was just a joke.
Later that year I moved to the neighboring “city”, the one with both a super-walmart and two whole grocery stores! Unfortunately soon after we moved there my mother had a brain aneurysm and died about two week before hurricane Katrina, I began living with my older brother. Within another year right before I started high-school we moved to the far south suburbs of Chicago were I continued both my Catholic school education and my lie. Finally sophomore year I accepted who I was and what I thought was my doomed fate to be an outcast…….then it was just a matter if and when I would come-out.
Nearly two years pass without me saying a word about it but it was constantly on my mind *what if I slip? Will I be able to lie for ever? *. It was the beginning of senior year which meant I would have to go all the required 4day religious/bonding retreat with 30 other guys from my class……which I was kinda dreading by this time in my life I had given up all of my old faith. I thought I would be just like all of the other retreats I had been to over the years, we would talk about Jesus in our personal lives read some bible verses and eventually go home bored, how wrong I was. First of all you weren’t allowed to know where the retreat was, the time of day or what would happen next…….my first thought was brainwashing cult……my second thought was brainwashing cult with cool-aid, luckily I was wrong. First we got settled into out rooms we weren’t sure we would have until we saw them, then we went to a large room with a podium and a large group of candles in the center of the room *for a cult ritual!* no it was much more innocent. We began hearing speeches they started of normal, the first one explained that the bonds made a this retreat would last forever and that everything that took place there should remain our life long secret, then they all became disturbingly personal and viciously truthful as both student leaders and teaches told of some their most intimate and traumatic life events. one student leader told of how he use to cut himself(he had the scars to prove), others told about abuses they had suffered, one female teacher told about being raped another about her former cocaine and sex addiction…….it was all so shockingly honest and emotional it went on deep into the night until nearly dawn, then we were told we would all be sharing the next night. As scared as I was I knew despite the consequences, despite the fact I was at a religious retreat I would have to reveal the very thing I had been hiding for years, to do otherwise would be to betray all those who had shared and those who would share. I spent all day trying to write it trying to plan out what I would say when it was time to start the speeches I barely had a thing written…..we all had to turn in our paper to our student group leader(who had already been on the retreat) so that they could read it to themselves tomake sure it was appropriate( but if rape and cocaine were what wasn’t). Of course my group lead
CandleMadeEasy answers:
What did your group leader do? It’s still an interesting story.
Anyhow, mine isn’t that interesting; but here goes … . I’ve always been aware I was only interested in guys but never admitted it to anyone, including myself. I tried to pray it away and tried to be interested in girls and even watched “straight” pornography in hopes of somehow changing myself to no avail. Eventually, I don’t remember how but, at 15 years old, I ended up watching the show “Queer As Folk” during summer break, and, episode-by-episode, I gained more confidence, thinking maybe accepting “it” isn’t as bad as I’d lead myself to think. The same summer, I had Confirmation camp where I truly admitted my gayness to myself AND accepted it, which felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. In that moment, I decided I would no longer deny it should anyone ask me my sexual orientation. However, it wasn’t until autumn, in school, that the first person asked me what I like (obviously I answered truthfully). Now, four years later, I’m still the same well-adjusted guy and have never had problems with anyone about sexuality.

How do i make my woman do what i want and stop swilling beer in cheap bars?
My lady doesnt know what it means to be a lady. Shes a little rough around the edges and is a bit free in her ways. I hear she is putting it aobut in a bar down town…. i like to sow my wild oats too..but surely it aint nice for a pretty lady to be open to such sins of the flesh as it aint in their nature. Their nature is to nurture and protect …right. Have i landed a little lady with a male attitude? Two of my mates are able to tell me what she like in bed and i done like them knowin this about my woman,..this should be private..i think i need soemone more fresh. Shes 39, no kids. I’m 28 no kids, but i want my lady to be a lady, know what i mean..do you dig it brothers? Shes always knockin back cheap beer with her ho 50 year old mate in a dingy bar after work, and now she wants me have threesome with this friend whos like skankie and always chatting up men at 3am in the disco bars instead of athome making her home a home, that ho is married. I dont want to go down this here route, i want a respectable stay athome lady, how do i make her listen and put on a long skirt and pretty top and love me the way a lady should. I try tell her to wait athome soem night, i even lit candles and put on soft music..she struck up a match to her cigarette and slammed the door on my love. my mate text me she was down in the bar…cheak to cheak with someone 2 yrs younger than me half an hour later. My heart is breaking for her real ladylike qualities to shine through and for this agressive personality to recede and come love me like a lady.

Esp for the MEN out there….How to make my husband feel special!?
I’m 23 and my husband is 27. We like to fish and and take hikes etc.. We have a 3 year old and a 10 month old~ Our 5th anniversary is coming up and I really want it to be special! My in laws are going to watch the kidsfor the weekend for us and it will be our first night ‘kid free” in a year and a half!! I really want it to be special but he does not like romantic or “corny” kinds of things. Are candles too much?? I am thinking about a cabin at the lake! ~~ What can I do tomake it REALLY special? I want him to know how much I appreciate that he works hard for me to stay home with the boys and is home every night with me instead of out running around! He says he doesn’t like lingerie and stuff I quote him “Why wear it if it’s just going to come off anyway?” Any good ideas? What can I do that will make him feel appreciated but not embarrased by “romantic” things…??
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Do the Cabin at the Lake. Make love to him like never before, I mean really do him righteous. He’ll never forget this particular anniversary.
Tend to agree with his lingerie statement. I’m like that too. Most men don’t require alot of romantic things, to get our attention and to remain focased on the young sweet thing that’s about to knock our socks off with some really great love making.
My wife did a similar thing for our 2nd anniversary some 23 years ago, and i still think about it often.
Richard asks…
Do you think this would make an interesting movie or book?
Okay, do theres these three guys, all are friends, and are all attractive at face. the first one is a real estate devoloper who used to be “the cool guy” until he was married and had kids, he gained wait and grew a beard like a typical american father, he is now focused on his family and job. The second man is an artist, and went to a university to become one, and he lives with a roomate (who always has a new girl a week), and he wants to have a family, but hasnt been able to find a lucky match, and he hasnt been succesful lately with selling his paintings. The third guy owned a nutrition shop, until he went out of business due to another more famous shop came. He now is broke and moved in with his parents. Well, one day, they have a “poker night” at the first guys house. The second and the third talk about their “girl of their dreams”. The first one talks about his only girlfriend he had that was serious as his relationship right now. The next day, three sisters move in. The first sister goes to the first guys house, and she greets his family. Meanwhile, the second sister goes to the second guys house, and they greet eachother. He lets her have a tour of his house, and she admires his paintings, and she is like the girl he imagined. He paints for her and she tells him that he could do better, he gets frustrated, and she demonstrates for him. He takes her advice, and he paints angrily, and after he does, he makes a good painting, after that, him and that girl make out. The third guy goes for a jog and notices the sisters house, he knocks on their door, and the third sister answers. He thinks shes hot right away, then she lets him in and they talk and share interests, and she takes him to her room, and she tries seducing him, and he tells her no. She tells him about how she knows his life, and how he feels, and she gets to him, and they have sex right away. They go to tell the first guy the next day, and is glad that their going out. The first guys wife goes to “work” while he stays homefor the day, and he gets the urge to go over to their house, he does, and he sees the first sister watering her garden, she tells him to come to the back. The sisters and their friends are swimming in the pool. He has fun, until the first sister flirts with him, and tries to kiss him. He tells her he has to go, and leaves. The next day, his wife goes to work again, and while she goes, the first sister comes crying. He asks her whats wrong, she says “you dont remember me” and she reveals to him that shes his ex girlfriend who moved away, and she came back for him. He tells her that hes sorry and he kindly tells her that their relationship has passed, and that she must move on. She says okay, and apologizes. She leaves, he decides to visit his wife at work, when he goes there, they say shes gone. He calls her and hears noises in the background. He goes to his second friends house (who just got home), and he hears his wife moaning, and goes to his friends roomates room, and finds his wife cheating. The next day, they file for a divorce. As the night comes, he goes to the sisters house, makes out with the first sister. Three years pass, and the first guy is divorced, and got to keep everything (including the kids), got married to the first sister, and looses his weight. The second guy moved in, and got married to the second sister and had a kid with her, and is rich off of his paintings. The third guy had the third sister move in, and they reopened the fitness store, and are very succesful. Their lives are going good, they have a poker night again, and they talk about how their lives have improved. They decide to go to the basement and get a few drinks, although, while their down there, they notice a secret room they never seen before. They go in, and see one of those satanic stars, and see three candles, and has a spell book. They realize that the sisters put a spell on them, and are wiccans. The first guy confronts his new wife about this, and she admits it. He asks her if she made his wife and him divorce, and she said “she was already cheating on you, but i made you catch her”. He gets angry, and drives off to the bar, and sees his friends there, they ask themselves “What are we gonna do?” finally, the second guy gets a plan. The next day, they try the plan: They apologize, and except them, then, they tell their wifes to get new groceries because their out. The sisters go to the store, and they find the book and put a spell on them. The plan works out, until the sisters suspicously find the three of them at the same store at the same time. They race back to the house, and the men find out, so they take the book and burn it. The sisters get there about to attack the men, until the book fully discintegrates, and they lost their powers, and lost their memory. The guys happily go back to their lives, with out any problems.
What do you guys think?

I like the idea a lot, the end just depresses me a little. The guys become so happy then so sad sooo quickly. The girls seem horrible in the end too, though I don’t really see what they did wrong. But, overall I like the idea. I’d read it.
Sandra asks…
How do ya tactfully say, “sorry, no kids allowed?”?
I am a stay-at-home mom of a 4 and 8 y.o., so I spend lots of time cleaning up, stepping over toys, etc. I want to have a nice holiday party for the “grown ups only”. I want to use my nice platters, serve “adult” beverages, have real appetizers (no nuggets or PB Js), light candles and talk however I feel like. Just want an eveing w/our friends w/out the constant interruptions of kids; if your a parent, you know that thereis no such thing as a dozen young kids playing quietely in the other room. Don’t suggest a sitter, I just don’t want to host that many kids. When I mentioned that I might have an “adult party” to a friend she said, “no kids…well, aren’t your going to be there?” I’m thinking of course they are, they live here. I will make suitable plans for them and confin them to the upstairs w/movies, or whatever to keep them busy. My parents always had “adult” parites for x-mas; nobody even considered bringing thier kids. People got sitters and enjoyed a nice evening out. SO, how do I invite people and let them know that it is a party, not a playdate? Don’t you think most parents would enjoy a kid-free evening w/thier friends?
I should have added that several of the people we would invite have many “get-togethers”, and always include all the kids, so they assume that kids are always part of the plan, and some have gotten bent out of shape when other people have excluded kids from parties.
I don’t have any relatives for them to stay with. And no, other people’s kids can’t come and play quietly…your talking about 15-20 kids if they all came, many whom are under age 3 and would require adult supervision, which defeats the purpose of the party.
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I would LOVE a nice, holiday party, with NO children…and my friends! I’d be up for that idea any day….can I come? LOL J/K Well just tell them, no kids..and if they dont like that idea, then they shouldnt come…and they shouldnt worry about if your kids will be there and what they will be doing, if you are hosting the party at your house. You know?
Daniel asks…
How to tell whether you are ready to have kids?
Howto tell whether you are ready to have kids
Mess Test Smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.
Toy Test Obtain a 55 gallon box of Legos (you may substitute roofing tacks if you wish). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold and take off shoes. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do not scream because this would wake a child at night.
Grocery Store Test Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop. Always keep them in sight and pay for anything they eat or damage.
Dressing Test Obtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all the arms stay inside.
Feeding Test Obtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug, while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.
Night Test Prepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8-12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 3:00pm, begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00pm. Lay down your bag and set your alarm for 10:00pm. Get up, pick up your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00am. Set alarm for 5:00am. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.
Ingenuity Test Take an egg carton. Using a pair of scissors and pot of paint, turn it into an alligator. Now take a toilet paper tube and turn it into an attractive Christmas candle. Use only scotch tape and a piece of foil. Last, take a milk carton, a ping-pong ball, and an empty box of Cocoa Puffs. Make an exact replica of the Eiffel Tower.
Automobile Test Forget the BMW and buy a station wagon. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there. Get a dime. Stick it into the CD player. Take a family-size package of chocolate chip cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Run a rake along both side of the car. There, perfect!
Physical Test (Women) Obtain a large bean bag chair and attach it to the front of your clothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Then remove the beans. And try not to notice your closet full of clothes. You won’t be wearing them for a while.
Physical Test (Men) Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask the clerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go to he head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.
Final Assignment Find a couple who already has a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, and toilet training and child’s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run wild. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers.
I have two grown kids. I believe the test is a good one. I loved them and nurtured them and I was ready to be a Mom.
If you cannot laugh at the test then you need some geritol. lol
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Thanks for making us smile.
Perhaps add:
Daycare test – Volunteer to help out at a day care for an entire day, both prospective parents. Record frustration, measure heart rate, blood pressure, stress hormones. Avoid the urge to pick up blunt spanking objects or duct tape. Go home and leave a note pad and pen + paper by the bed to record the nightmares which will arrive if and when you manage to sleep.

How many times can a homemade latex candle mould be used before it deteriorates too much, on average. I want to waork out how much it would cost per candle.
CandleMadeEasy answers:
There are several factors.
1) What are the different melting points? The mold must keep structural integrity when the hot material is in it.
2) Is the mold free standing? Is the Latex just sitting on a table or is it in a bucket of wet sand, for example.
3) Mold/casting separation – How muck do you have to stretch the Latex to get the wax out? The more you need to pull, the thinner the Latex, and the shorter the life-span.
4) Are there any chemical reactions? Oils bake down Latex and Rubber. Wax might to the same.
Why Latex? Why not Silicon? While, Latex and Rubber are naturally sticky, Silicon is naturally slippery. In addition, Silicon does not have the oil problem…
Daniel asks…
as i try to pop my homemade candle out of the mold, it sticks as though it’s welded to it. how do i get it out
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I would think sticking it in warm water would help ease it out. I heard that spraying Pam before pouring it in the mold is supposed to help with the sticking. Hope this helps
Donald asks…
Hunns, is this a good way to make homemade candles?
Hunns, my son Amstel wants to start his own candle making business. He’s asked us all to start saving our ear wax. He’s fashioned the most darling candles out of Maid’s and Butler’s ear wax but he’s having a hard time making candles out of mine. Are rich people’s ear wax just softer than poor people’s and therefor harder to mold into candles? Anyone know?
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Hunn, this is not a good way to make candles. You can melt crayons and there are other methods. As for your earwax, I have no idea hunn.
Linda asks…
How do I make a simple molds for casting stuff like wax or liquid rubber?
I am making some things at home which i will cast into metal, but i first want to practice with less dangerous substances like wax. if you answer how to make the mold, can you tell me how to make the mold with homemade items. like i heard you can make a candle from sand. i really dont want to buy anything but i want to make it work.
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Sand is still a possibility, but not permanent for multiple copies. And some sands are better than others. Plaster of Paris is always a good choice and cheap. But making molds usually depends on what material you use for the final product and how detailed the figure is. So practicing with wax might not work. Your metal might be better to practice with. It can be melted down again.
Jenny asks…
How can I make those homemade jar candles?
Not the fancy votice molds and stuff, just jar candles and where to get to scents?
CandleMadeEasy answers:
HOPE THIS HELPS”"”
Here is what you’ll need:
Crock pot or a double broiler
Thermometer
Candle wax chips (preferably pre-formulated for candles)
Glass container with a lid (for the candle)
An appropriate sized pre-tabbed wick (the larger the jar, the larger the wick diameter needs to be in order to burn a puddle to the edges of the jar)
Essential oils or scented candle oils.
Food coloring
Optional:
Candle Making Kit
——————————————————————————–
Step 1
Heat the wax in the crock pot or double broiler to 160 degrees. For safety reasons, watch your temperature and make sure the wax does not get too hot. While the wax is heating, pre-heat the candle jar in the oven on lowest setting. (This helps the wax adhere to the glass better)
Step 2
When the wax reaches 160 degrees, mix the scented oils first and stir. When mixed thoroughly, add food coloring and stir again. ***Always keep an eye on the temperature. If the wax gets too hot, it can be a severe fire hazard***
Step 3
Take glass candle jar out of oven and carefully pour the candle ingredients into the jar leaving room at the top so the lid will fit and save a little wax for topping off. (The wax will sink in the middle after the first pour cools and a second pour is needed to level this off. This is called ‘topping off’).
Step 4
Straighten the wick and lower the metal disk base into the melted wax and try to place the disk as close to the center of the candle as possible. The wick should stand straight up on its own. (Don’t worry about the wick being perfectly centered, just try to make sure the base is centered)
Tip: To make it easier to keep the wick centered, try adhering the the base of the wick with a glue dot. They work like double-sided tape and are not affected by heat.
Step 5
Let the candle cool to where there is a semi-hardened crust on top. Now take the wick and adjust it so that it is centered in the jar (the crust will hold the wick in place when you adjust it)
Step 6
Let the candle completely cool at room temperature (could take as much as 6 hours). When cooled, you will notice that the wax will have sunken some in the middle. Reheat the remaining wax in your crock pot to about 185 degrees and pour just enough to flow to the edges of the glass.
And Finally! – Step 7
Let cool and trim wick to about a quarter inch and your very own custom candle is ready for you to enjoy! If you would like to be creative, try making candles with different containers. You can use porcelain, brass cans, or anything that will withstand the intense heat from the flame. If you are unsure about the safety of the container, just play it safe and don’t use it. Your friends will be impressed with your handy work when you tell them it is one of your “originals”! Learning how to make candles is fun!
PS U CAN FIND ESSENTIAL OILS AND SCENTED OILS IN A STORE LIKE BATH AND BODY WORKS JUST ASK SOMEONE THERE AND IM SURE TEHY’LL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU FINDN ONE!!!! HAPPY CANDLE MAKING!!!!!

Mandy asks…
How do you make a silicone candle mold?
CandleMadeEasy answers:
You would start with a carved candle out of wood or another hard substance, then follow these instructions
does anyone know where i can find silicone (liquid) to make molds with, like for candle and soap making?
CandleMadeEasy answers:
It is called RTV and you can order it from chemical supply houses.
Note that unlike the RTV that people caulk their houses with, the liquid form requires a catalyst that you mix into the base material. Make sure you order that at the same time. (I seem to remember the catalyst is carcinogenic…not sure so you better check.)
I have some paraffin wax pellets and was wondering if cake moulds are safe to use with it?
The set of silicone moulds I have are like these ones http://www.cateringandleisure.com/productPanel/images/uploads/Silicone_Cup_Cake_Moulds2.JPG .
Also after a good clean, would the moulds be ok to use on regular edible cupcakes again or would it be poisonous or anything like that?
Sorry if its a daft question but I just want to make sure I do it all as safe as possible
…
Thank you Zeimusu, the bag of wax had no instructions on it so I wasn’t too sure.
I won’t add any scents to it, nice to know I don’t have to buy another set of moulds. Thanks alot
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Silicone is stable up to about 220C. Molten wax is only about 70C, so there should be no problem. Candle wax is nontoxic so the moulds should be safe to use again. Probably best not to use scent though

why is it that my friend’s oncologist prohibits the use of scented candles?
is there a connection between cancer and scentedcandles? I heard that wicks have lead but i dont see the connection…
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Now a days, EVERYTHING is bad for you…..it’s ridiculous! I dont think that scented candles are going to cause cancer anymore then talking on a cell-phone will.
Linda asks…
Are scented candles carcinogenic?
I heard that scentedcandles can cause cancer.
CandleMadeEasy answers:
As others have mentioned, if they are made from paraffin wax (a petroleum-based product) they release toxins similar to those found in car exhaust.
It is now easy to find candles that are made with vegetable waxes that are very clean burning and do not release carcinogens.
The wicks are also important. Lead core wicks were banned in the US, but some imported candles may still sneak through. Zinc core wicks are also commonly used, and they may not be completely safe either.
So if you use candles made in the USA from vegetable wax or beeswax and 100% cotton wicks they will not contain any known carcinogens.
Donald asks…
Lung cancer #2 killer of U.S. women? Smoking rates very low-air fresheners, scented candles….?
I can’t believe that lung cancer is the #2 killer of women here in the U.S. Second only to heart disease, which is understandable when you look at eating habits, weight, lack of exercise…but lung cancer when the total adult percentage is only 22%? I had seen on British news almost 2 yrs. ago that France has banned air fresheners (cans), plug-ins and the like because they found that prolonged exposure to these chemicals causes lung cancer. I know we have alot of pollution here along with God-knows-what in our food/water, but do you think the french know something we don’t? Has the FDA looked into this? Dana Reeves along with countless others have died of lung cancer w/o ever smoking. Are there any theories out there? I really don’t like giving kudos to the french, but I use these “smell good” products in my house daily and I believe that women, working outside the home or not, still spend more time in their homes than men do…..
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Thats a good question… My sister died of lung cancer last year and never smoked a day in her life. She was only 39 yrs old. I often wonder how she got lung cancer, but i dont think she used alot of candles or anything, maybe the air freshner though.
George asks…
please help me i have a question about candles?
um im kinda scared do scentedcandles cause cancer?
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Unfortunately we don’t exactly know what causes cancer. It has to do with a genetic capability to get cancer but it also needs a trigger. You can’t go through life being afraid of what can/cant cause cancer. Obviously stay away from drug, too much alcohol, obesity, and smoking. Other than that relax. Since doctors think stress is a leading cause in cancer too.
Mandy asks…
do scented candles really give off carcinogens?
ive heard studies show they can cause cancer and pollutants in your body
CandleMadeEasy answers:
It isn’t so much the scent – it’s the wax and the wicks!
Most candles, unless stated otherwise, are made from paraffin wax which is a petroleum-based product. The toxins and soot released from burning paraffin is similar to that from car exhaust!
Wicks sometimes contain a metal core made from lead or zinc which can also be toxic. Using lead core wicks in candles is now against the law, but if you buy candles that are imported from other countries you can’t be sure that they are compliant with the law. Zinc cores are still allowed.
Candles made from vegetable/plant waxes release much less soot and are non toxic. Use candles made with 100% vegetable wax and 100% cotton wicks and you will eliminate over 95% of the pollutants.
I included a link with information about some studies done. Note that the only source that claimed they had studies showing paraffin candles were not toxic and didn’t release more pollutants than vegetable wax candles was Blyth, Inc – a maker of paraffin wax candles.

how to grind dill into the dry use herb?
i just got a bunch of fresh dill that i’d like to dry and grind so i can use it as the sprinkle kind of dry herb. i’m thinking, it’s gotta hang and dry out, then magic bullet that sh*t like i do the catnip. which part of the plant do i use? it hasn’t gone to seed yet, but i’m thinking the leaves and maybe flowers? any tips or instruction would be appreciated. ( was also thinking about making a dill candle, since i also do that….tips? ideas?)
thanks. i can’t wait to hear what you have to say!
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Invest in a mortar and pestle, they are invaluable.
Hang to dry first, or put in your hot water cupboard.
Richard asks…
Need advice for a wedding proposal!?
So i have been with my girlfriend for about a year and a half now. We have been through a lot of good and bad times and are moving out soon.
My question to you is, is my idea stupid?
I was planning on leaving flowers and a note on her front step with instructions to go on youtube.com. I want to make a video with our pictures and memories. Kind of like a slideshow. Through out the video i will list the things i love most about her. At the end of the video it will have a video of me all dressed up nice expressing my commitment and love to her. I will tell her that i’m waiting at a location and have her meet me there in one hour. I will be standing there with flower petals around and candles to make it romantic and then boom i pop the question. haha. Yes or no?
CandleMadeEasy answers:
That sounds cool but don’t make it to obvious in the youtube video. Or you could leave the note and flowers along with a videotape or DVD and do it that way so no one else sees it.
BUT THAT SOUNDS COOL!
Donald asks…
How can I help my wife be more sexy/romantic?
My wife frequently refers to herself as a guy, because she prefers sex to be “Wham-Bam-Thank You Mam”. It’s complete role reversal, because I need seduction, communication, etc to get aroused.
My wife is trying to be more romantic and sexier, but she really has no clue what she’s doing. She is almost robotic. She will put on lingerie and light candles and lay in the bed and that is a big improvement from before when she would just come to bed naked and lay there.
My wife has been gracious in that she has asked me to TELL her what to do, and she’ll do it but it’s obvious she’s following instructions. Before we married she hadn’t been in a long term relationship and she said no one ever complained about romance, but it appears that her previous relationships were extended booty calls.
I put a lot of thought, energy, time, and money into romancing my wife and seducing her. I would feel unwanted because my wife didn’t. However, she eventually told me that I always brought new ideas to the bedroom so she figured it was my role. She’s trying now, but it seems weird because there is no emotion behind it.
Imagine your mate lighting a candle, and laying in the bed with a face that obviously says how long do I have to communicate before you just put it in?
And when it comes to lingerie she doesn’t buy it because it fits her body and makes her feel sexy, in fact she never buys lingerie that actually fits her properly.. She buys it because it’s cheap and it will shut me up. She’s even bought some from the 99 cent store. And she can’t wait to take it off when she does wear it. I don’t even believe she feels sexy in it.
I married a woman who is sexual, but not sexy or romantic. How can I meet her halfway? Sometimes I give her Wham-Bam but I feel totally unfulfilled. I like the feeling of my wife seducing me, and I feel cheap when she just lays there waiting for me to do something. I mean she’ll lay there in lingerie and if I don’t initiate something she’ll just continue to lay there until we fall asleep.
Please help, because this seems like total role reversal.
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Then guide her, step by step through what you truly want. If she’s willing and you’re patient, you can get through to her. Set up the scene as you would to seduce her, but then teach her how to seduce you.
It’s funny because me and my man have a similar situation, though maybe not as exaggerated as yours. I am incredibly easy to turn on, one nibble and I am ready to go. He on the other hand needs a little bit more seducing, which I try to accomodate him with. It’s hard at times, we both get frustrated, but we keep working on it. Just keep trying and you’ll both find the compromise you can both be happy with.
Mandy asks…
How the heck do I use a termisil coffee pot?!?
Ok, so I got a “wolomin termisil” coffee maker/pot/I dunno what the heck this thing is, for christmas. I have NO idea how to use it! Its some type of european coffee maker, I think! lol It came with absolutely NO instructions, so all I have to go off of is the picture on the box… which doesnt help much! It has a bottom compartment that holds a tealite candle and then a glass coffee pot sits on top of that. Then there is a glass “cup” that poses as a filter I’m guessing. I think you put the coffee inside of the glass filter cup thingy and then inside the coffee pot. The glass filter cup thingy has 8 tiny little slits that I would imagine the water would seap thru and then start filtering back out, therefore making coffee… well, it doesnt! Then there’s just a lid to put on top. So unless it takes more than two hours for it to start doing something, I’m doing something wrong. If anyone has one or knows how to use one, please help! Thanks so much!! =)
CandleMadeEasy answers:
It isn’t a coffee pot … It’s a TEApot!! The center glass cup is for holding tea leaves. The glass decanter holds water, and the candle under the decanter gently warms the water to the temperature to infuse/steep the tea leaves. I *suppose* you could make coffee in it if you use the right grind. What that might be I dunno.
