Your Questions About How To Make Candles At Home Easy

Susan asks…
women do you agree with this??
Here are some ideas to get you started doing these “little things” she really wants:
1. Rub her feet instead of asking her if she wants you to rub her feet. Make it look like you want to do it.
2. Make her dinner one night. Don’t ask her if she wants you to make dinner. Make her dinner before she gets home.
3. Light a candle so that she arrives home to a nice environment instead of coming home to the glaring lights of the television and other things.
4. Send her a text in the middle of the day telling her “I miss your smile from this morning” or “Last night was amazing!” or “The conversation we had last night was great.”
5.
Send an eCard in the middle of the day… something cute to remind her how much you really care about her.
Send an eCard in the middle of the day… something cute to remind her how much you really care about her.
6. If she’s going on a business trip, offer to drive her to the airport or pick her up to make her life that much easier.
7. Let her have control of the remote control. Don’t monopolize it for a change. Just give it to her and let her actually sit there and enjoying watching one of her shows. Then you can share one of her interests by watching it with her.
8. Offer to iron one of her shirts or take her clothes to the dry cleaner.
9. Clean up the bathroom without being asked. Don’t just sit there and ignore the mess around the toilet. If you know it drives her crazy to see water splashed all around the sink, dry that area after you use it.
10. If you work out together, enjoy it with her instead of rushing through your own workout and then not letting her workout at the same time.
11. Take a shower together, then wash her hair, scrub her back, and give her a spa treatment. Do this and enjoy it!
12. The next time she gives you a massage, give her a massage the next day. Offer it! Don’t just say you’ll give her a massage…do it!
13. Surprise her by making plans. Tell her, “We’re going out tonight honey.” You can even just go out for a drink or dinner somewhere. It’s taking the initiative that’s important.
14. Decide on and set aside one night a week as date night. Have a date like when you first started dating.
15. Call her in the middle of the day and just say hello. Don’t wait for her to call you.
It can be simple to keep her satisfied. It’s not necessarily about what you give her financially or what gifts you give her. That’s a cop out. It’s the little things. The guy who makes the biggest mistake is the one who ignores their significant other then all of a sudden give them an expensive gift to make up for it. That doesn’t make up for it at all.
oh, i forgot to mention……..i got this from a guy

Ok.
You will need to prepare 2-3 days in advance.
Have a specific room in your house.
Make sure it’s clean.
Have loads of white towels lying around.
A plan.
Some stuff to nibble on…nuts, fruits etc.
Here are some recipes for home beauty treatments…
Steaming.
This opens pores, improves circulation and helps cleanse the skin of impurities.
All you need is a large bowl, hot water and a really clean towel that will cover your head and shoulders.
Cover your face with the towel and lean over the bowl.
Stay there for about 5 minutes breathing slowly and deeply.
When you’re done splash your face with cold water to close the pores.
Home Made Facial Scrub.
2 Strawberries
1 Teaspoon of brown sugar (white if you don’t have any…)
OR
One tablespoon of honey.
Half a teaspoon of lemon juice.
Two teaspoons of oatmeal.
Mash them in a bowl.
Gently rub over face, concentrating on the area around the nose and chin.
Rinse off with cold water.
Home Made Face Masks.
1 banana
1 avocado
1/2 teaspoon honey.
Mix together and leave on face for ten minutes.
Place slices of cucumber of the eyes…(cold, chilled teabags will do the same but aren’t as glam!)
Rinse off the mask.
Moisturize the face.
Massage.
You can use baby oil for this or a moisturizing cream.
Rub the back in circular motions.
Light some candles and play some classical music.
Refreshments.
Smoothies.
You can use frozen fruit.
It’s dirt cheap and you can get it in any supermarket.
Frozen summer fruits are the most popular though.
Or you could select your own and leave them in the freezer over night.
Take two handfuls of frozen berries, a glass of orange juice, whizz it in the blender and that’s it.
You could put in some whippy cream if you’re feeling adventurous.
Salted nuts, chopped fruit and those tortilla crisps (Doritos) dipped in guacamole or hummus.
Ok…now for your dad and brothers.
You should probably tell them…give them a picnic, a football, cricket bat, baseball bat, swimming gear and threats that if they come back you will burn the TV.
If there is a lake or sea near by you could send them there.
Here are some websites for the sort of food you will need to make….
http://coffeetea.about.com/od/sandwiches/r/cucumber.htm
For the one above you won’t need to make a white wine vinegar…!
Make some soup with the sandwiches above…and for dinner make mac and cheese with some salad on the side.

Lizzie asks…
Pregnancy/baby questions?
So I’m expecting my first baby December 16th…and I have some questions that..well basically I’m not sure any of my friends would know the answers, or I’d just feel dumb if i asked anyone I actually knew. So some help would be appreciated
1. How easy is it realistically to lose your baby weight after the pregnancy? And how much do you lose right away just as a result of having lost blood and the placenta and baby and amniotic fluid being out of you? I weighed about 160 before the pregnancy (and no, I was not considered overweight, and did not look fat.) and I’ve gained about 25lbs so far.
2. Assuming your baby is latched on in the correct way and you don’t ordinarily have tender or sore breasts, does breast feeding really hurt THAT bad? I know some women say they couldn’t do it because it hurt…but does it really? Or could it have just been that the baby didn’t latch on correctly?
3. Does your vagina ever really go back to how tight it was before? And how long does it take to get smaller? I assume doing kegel exercises after the pregnancy as well as during would help.
4. How old should a baby be before you take them out in public places such as out shopping? (I’m not asking because I plan to be one of those mothers who insists on pushing their new baby around a mall all day to have people ooh and ahh over it, I’m asking because with him being due so close to Christmas, I may have to make trips to the mall, and want to know if I could bring him or whether it’d be safer to leave him at home.)
5. Is there anything “Christmas season” related that I should avoid him being around?
(Candle/fireplace smoke, incense, glitter, certain plants ect.)
6. Any items that your baby had during his or her first year that they either really liked or helped out a lot?
7. Any helpful tips that someone (or no one) told you that have to do with pregnancy/labor/postpartum stage?
Also thought I’d let you know I have a home birth planned..so if anyone has any experience with this and what helped with pain or relaxation, that’d be nice to know also. I have taken Bradley classes so I’m not going in completely knowing nothing, haha.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
1. Realistically, its not easy. I was around 140 before pregnancy and 190 right before delivery. I spent a week in the hospital and had an appointment two days later, and weighed in around 160. I have not done any working out or exercising since he was born and I have stayed at 160. I am working on it, however I am diabetic and watching my food & blood sugars sometimes clash.
2. Breastfeeding is different for every woman. It didn’t hurt me, and he was latched on correctly. It actually made me feel closer to my baby and I never had any pain. However, he had some problems after his birth and had to be given a bottle so his interest in the breast was lost pretty quickly. I think pumping breast milk hurts a heck of a lot more than actual breastfeeding.
3. I am not sure about this one. I had a C-Section due to being diabetic. However, every book I read did mention that Kegels do work! A woman’s body is made to deliver a baby, so I don’t think it stretches and stays loose permanently. Over time it should go back to the way it was.
4. Its safer to leave newborns inside. Away from germs, strangers, the weather and more. Because they are so new and little, they are still building up strong immune system. If you don’t have a choice, just make sure the baby is warm and dressed properly. Babies tend to have different temps than you & I.. Rule is to dress the baby how you would dress, plus an extra layer. Use hand sanitizer and don’t be afraid to ask people to use it too!
5. I would for sure stay away from fireplace smoke, (heck, any smoke!) and incenses. Their little lungs do not need to breathe these things. Candles should be fine, and I’ve never heard of certain plants harming a baby or causing allergic reactions. But to be safe, just limit the over the top Holiday decor.
6. Oh my, there is a ton of things that helped out, and is still helping out. My son is nine months old and I have used a boppy pillow since I’ve brought him home. Make sure you have plenty of diapers and wipes of course! Depending on the hospital, they may send baby home with a Soothie pacifier, which are great! I also recommend the soothie bottles. I usually keep the following items in his diaper bag: Diapers; Wipes; Blanket; Change of Clothes & socks; Bibs; Formula container; Bottles; Tylenol; Thermometer; Baby Sunblock; Burp cloth; Bulb ( the bugger sucker lol) and his pacifiers.
7. Nobody told me about postpartum depression. I read about it and figured it wouldn’t be that bad. Oh my gosh, it was horrible. The day I found out we were being discharged, I was a basket case! I couldn’t stop crying. I cried all the way out to the car! When your in the hospital the nurses offer to take the baby so mom and dad can rest, but going home you know that the nurses wont be there too. I had it so bad, I would start crying for no apparent reason.
Best of luck!

Lisa asks…
Any interesting coming out stories? (mine included)?
I grew up in rural central Louisiana, the heart of Cajun country where football attendance is only second to church attendance. The town had maybe all of 1500 residence, with only a handful of struggling businesses non of which where a general store (GOD forbid your car breaks down ’cause the nearest town with all the essentials is a good few miles down the road), it is undoubtedly a conservative area to say the least. Luckily my family (which consisted of my signal mother and older brother) had only moved there when I was five, from a liberal state of course, so they were chock-full of “big city ideas” which eventually made coming-out to them slightly easier. To be more correct the page title should technically read “My Coming-Out Stories” ’cause I technically came-out for all of maybe a whole ten minutes in the seventh grade. It happened during recess, when me and my friends were playing basketball as we did everyday, I managed to make a few good shots *cough* I always did *clears throat* and one of my friends chose to call me a few names for doing so *fag/queer/homo* one of those. And I having had come to that conclusion a few months earlier, thinking nothing of it, and being a natural badass said something along the lines of “yeah I am you got a problem with that?!” he made some snide remark and then I realized that everybody was snickering at me. I asked what was so funny to one of my other friends and he said something like “yeah right like you of all people would be gay” ironically I was shocked and offended of what he was saying to me *how dare he think that I could not be gay*! After quickly remembering all those lessons from Sunday school and Wednesday night bible study(which I attended regularly) I began to think it was all for the best that they thought I was joking and suddenly I began to tell both them and myself that it really was just a joke.
Later that year I moved to the neighboring “city”, the one with both a super-walmart and two whole grocery stores! Unfortunately soon after we moved there my mother had a brain aneurysm and died about two week before hurricane Katrina, I began living with my older brother. Within another year right before I started high-school we moved to the far south suburbs of Chicago were I continued both my Catholic school education and my lie. Finally sophomore year I accepted who I was and what I thought was my doomed fate to be an outcast…….then it was just a matter if and when I would come-out.
Nearly two years pass without me saying a word about it but it was constantly on my mind *what if I slip? Will I be able to lie for ever? *. It was the beginning of senior year which meant I would have to go all the required 4day religious/bonding retreat with 30 other guys from my class……which I was kinda dreading by this time in my life I had given up all of my old faith. I thought I would be just like all of the other retreats I had been to over the years, we would talk about Jesus in our personal lives read some bible verses and eventually go home bored, how wrong I was. First of all you weren’t allowed to know where the retreat was, the time of day or what would happen next…….my first thought was brainwashing cult……my second thought was brainwashing cult with cool-aid, luckily I was wrong. First we got settled into out rooms we weren’t sure we would have until we saw them, then we went to a large room with a podium and a large group of candles in the center of the room *for a cult ritual!* no it was much more innocent. We began hearing speeches they started of normal, the first one explained that the bonds made a this retreat would last forever and that everything that took place there should remain our life long secret, then they all became disturbingly personal and viciously truthful as both student leaders and teaches told of some their most intimate and traumatic life events. one student leader told of how he use to cut himself(he had the scars to prove), others told about abuses they had suffered, one female teacher told about being raped another about her former cocaine and sex addiction…….it was all so shockingly honest and emotional it went on deep into the night until nearly dawn, then we were told we would all be sharing the next night. As scared as I was I knew despite the consequences, despite the fact I was at a religious retreat I would have to reveal the very thing I had been hiding for years, to do otherwise would be to betray all those who had shared and those who would share. I spent all day trying to write it trying to plan out what I would say when it was time to start the speeches I barely had a thing written…..we all had to turn in our paper to our student group leader(who had already been on the retreat) so that they could read it to themselves to make sure it was appropriate( but if rape and cocaine were what wasn’t). Of course my group lead

CandleMadeEasy answers:
What did your group leader do? It’s still an interesting story.
Anyhow, mine isn’t that interesting; but here goes … . I’ve always been aware I was only interested in guys but never admitted it to anyone, including myself. I tried to pray it away and tried to be interested in girls and even watched “straight” pornography in hopes of somehow changing myself to no avail. Eventually, I don’t remember how but, at 15 years old, I ended up watching the show “Queer As Folk” during summer break, and, episode-by-episode, I gained more confidence, thinking maybe accepting “it” isn’t as bad as I’d lead myself to think. The same summer, I had Confirmation camp where I truly admitted my gayness to myself AND accepted it, which felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. In that moment, I decided I would no longer deny it should anyone ask me my sexual orientation. However, it wasn’t until autumn, in school, that the first person asked me what I like (obviously I answered truthfully). Now, four years later, I’m still the same well-adjusted guy and have never had problems with anyone about sexuality.

Esp for the MEN out there….How to make my husband feel special!?
I’m 23 and my husband is 27. We like to fish and and take hikes etc.. We have a 3 year old and a 10 month old~ Our 5th anniversary is coming up and I really want it to be special! My in laws are going to watch the kids for the weekend for us and it will be our first night ‘kid free” in a year and a half!! I really want it to be special but he does not like romantic or “corny” kinds of things. Are candles too much?? I am thinking about a cabin at the lake! ~~ What can I do to make it REALLY special? I want him to know how much I appreciate that he works hard for me to stay home with the boys and is home every night with me instead of out running around! He says he doesn’t like lingerie and stuff I quote him “Why wear it if it’s just going to come off anyway?” Any good ideas? What can I do that will make him feel appreciated but not embarrased by “romantic” things…??
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Do the Cabin at the Lake. Make love to him like never before, I mean really do him righteous. He’ll never forget this particular anniversary.
Tend to agree with his lingerie statement. I’m like that too. Most men don’t require alot of romantic things, to get our attention and to remain focased on the young sweet thing that’s about to knock our socks off with some really great love making.
My wife did a similar thing for our 2nd anniversary some 23 years ago, and i still think about it often.

Richard asks…
Do you think this would make an interesting movie or book?
Okay, do theres these three guys, all are friends, and are all attractive at face. the first one is a real estate devoloper who used to be “the cool guy” until he was married and had kids, he gained wait and grew a beard like a typical american father, he is now focused on his family and job. The second man is an artist, and went to a university to become one, and he lives with a roomate (who always has a new girl a week), and he wants to have a family, but hasnt been able to find a lucky match, and he hasnt been succesful lately with selling his paintings. The third guy owned a nutrition shop, until he went out of business due to another more famous shop came. He now is broke and moved in with his parents. Well, one day, they have a “poker night” at the first guys house. The second and the third talk about their “girl of their dreams”. The first one talks about his only girlfriend he had that was serious as his relationship right now. The next day, three sisters move in. The first sister goes to the first guys house, and she greets his family. Meanwhile, the second sister goes to the second guys house, and they greet eachother. He lets her have a tour of his house, and she admires his paintings, and she is like the girl he imagined. He paints for her and she tells him that he could do better, he gets frustrated, and she demonstrates for him. He takes her advice, and he paints angrily, and after he does, he makes a good painting, after that, him and that girl make out. The third guy goes for a jog and notices the sisters house, he knocks on their door, and the third sister answers. He thinks shes hot right away, then she lets him in and they talk and share interests, and she takes him to her room, and she tries seducing him, and he tells her no. She tells him about how she knows his life, and how he feels, and she gets to him, and they have sex right away. They go to tell the first guy the next day, and is glad that their going out. The first guys wife goes to “work” while he stays home for the day, and he gets the urge to go over to their house, he does, and he sees the first sister watering her garden, she tells him to come to the back. The sisters and their friends are swimming in the pool. He has fun, until the first sister flirts with him, and tries to kiss him. He tells her he has to go, and leaves. The next day, his wife goes to work again, and while she goes, the first sister comes crying. He asks her whats wrong, she says “you dont remember me” and she reveals to him that shes his ex girlfriend who moved away, and she came back for him. He tells her that hes sorry and he kindly tells her that their relationship has passed, and that she must move on. She says okay, and apologizes. She leaves, he decides to visit his wife at work, when he goes there, they say shes gone. He calls her and hears noises in the background. He goes to his second friends house (who just got home), and he hears his wife moaning, and goes to his friends roomates room, and finds his wife cheating. The next day, they file for a divorce. As the night comes, he goes to the sisters house, makes out with the first sister. Three years pass, and the first guy is divorced, and got to keep everything (including the kids), got married to the first sister, and looses his weight. The second guy moved in, and got married to the second sister and had a kid with her, and is rich off of his paintings. The third guy had the third sister move in, and they reopened the fitness store, and are very succesful. Their lives are going good, they have a poker night again, and they talk about how their lives have improved. They decide to go to the basement and get a few drinks, although, while their down there, they notice a secret room they never seen before. They go in, and see one of those satanic stars, and see three candles, and has a spell book. They realize that the sisters put a spell on them, and are wiccans. The first guy confronts his new wife about this, and she admits it. He asks her if she made his wife and him divorce, and she said “she was already cheating on you, but i made you catch her”. He gets angry, and drives off to the bar, and sees his friends there, they ask themselves “What are we gonna do?” finally, the second guy gets a plan. The next day, they try the plan: They apologize, and except them, then, they tell their wifes to get new groceries because their out. The sisters go to the store, and they find the book and put a spell on them. The plan works out, until the sisters suspicously find the three of them at the same store at the same time. They race back to the house, and the men find out, so they take the book and burn it. The sisters get there about to attack the men, until the book fully discintegrates, and they lost their powers, and lost their memory. The guys happily go back to their lives, with out any problems.
What do you guys think?

CandleMadeEasy answers:
I like the idea a lot, the end just depresses me a little. The guys become so happy then so sad sooo quickly. The girls seem horrible in the end too, though I don’t really see what they did wrong. But, overall I like the idea. I’d read it.

Sandra asks…
How do ya tactfully say, “sorry, no kids allowed?”?
I am a stay-at-home mom of a 4 and 8 y.o., so I spend lots of time cleaning up, stepping over toys, etc. I want to have a nice holiday party for the “grown ups only”. I want to use my nice platters, serve “adult” beverages, have real appetizers (no nuggets or PB Js), light candles and talk however I feel like. Just want an eveing w/our friends w/out the constant interruptions of kids; if your a parent, you know that thereis no such thing as a dozen young kids playing quietely in the other room. Don’t suggest a sitter, I just don’t want to host that many kids. When I mentioned that I might have an “adult party” to a friend she said, “no kids…well, aren’t your going to be there?” I’m thinking of course they are, they live here. I will make suitable plans for them and confin them to the upstairs w/movies, or whatever to keep them busy. My parents always had “adult” parites for x-mas; nobody even considered bringing thier kids. People got sitters and enjoyed a nice evening out. SO, how do I invite people and let them know that it is a party, not a playdate? Don’t you think most parents would enjoy a kid-free evening w/thier friends?
I should have added that several of the people we would invite have many “get-togethers”, and always include all the kids, so they assume that kids are always part of the plan, and some have gotten bent out of shape when other people have excluded kids from parties.
I don’t have any relatives for them to stay with. And no, other people’s kids can’t come and play quietly…your talking about 15-20 kids if they all came, many whom are under age 3 and would require adult supervision, which defeats the purpose of the party.

I would LOVE a nice, holiday party, with NO children…and my friends! I’d be up for that idea any day….can I come? LOL J/K Well just tell them, no kids..and if they dont like that idea, then they shouldnt come…and they shouldnt worry about if your kids will be there and what they will be doing, if you are hosting the party at your house. You know?

Daniel asks…
How to tell whether you are ready to have kids?
How to tell whether you are ready to have kids
Mess Test
Smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.
Toy Test Obtain a 55 gallon box of Legos (you may substitute roofing tacks if you wish). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold and take off shoes. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do not scream because this would wake a child at night.
Grocery Store Test Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop. Always keep them in sight and pay for anything they eat or damage.
Dressing Test
Obtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all the arms stay inside.
Feeding Test
Obtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug, while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.
Night Test Prepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8-12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 3:00pm, begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00pm. Lay down your bag and set your alarm for 10:00pm. Get up, pick up your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00am. Set alarm for 5:00am. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.
Ingenuity Test Take an egg carton. Using a pair of scissors and pot of paint, turn it into an alligator. Now take a toilet paper tube and turn it into an attractive Christmas candle. Use only scotch tape and a piece of foil. Last, take a milk carton, a ping-pong ball, and an empty box of Cocoa Puffs. Make an exact replica of the Eiffel Tower.
Automobile Test Forget the BMW and buy a station wagon. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there. Get a dime. Stick it into the CD player. Take a family-size package of chocolate chip cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Run a rake along both side of the car. There, perfect!
Physical Test (Women) Obtain a large bean bag chair and attach it to the front of your clothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Then remove the beans. And try not to notice your closet full of clothes. You won’t be wearing them for a while.
Physical Test (Men) Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask the clerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go to he head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.
Final Assignment
Find a couple who already has a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, and toilet training and child’s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run wild. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers.
I have two grown kids. I believe the test is a good one. I loved them and nurtured them and I was ready to be a Mom.
If you cannot laugh at the test then you need some geritol. lol

Daycare test – Volunteer to help out at a day care for an entire day, both prospective parents. Record frustration, measure heart rate, blood pressure, stress hormones. Avoid the urge to pick up blunt spanking objects or duct tape. Go home and leave a note pad and pen + paper by the bed to record the nightmares which will arrive if and when you manage to sleep.

Your Questions About Candle Molds Homemade

Thomas asks…
How long will a homemade latex candle mould last?
How many times can a homemade latex candle mould be used before it deteriorates too much, on average. I want to waork out how much it would cost per candle.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
There are several factors.
1) What are the different melting points? The mold must keep structural integrity when the hot material is in it.
2) Is the mold free standing? Is the Latex just sitting on a table or is it in a bucket of wet sand, for example.
3) Mold/casting separation – How muck do you have to stretch the Latex to get the wax out? The more you need to pull, the thinner the Latex, and the shorter the life-span.
4) Are there any chemical reactions? Oils bake down Latex and Rubber. Wax might to the same.
Why Latex? Why not Silicon? While, Latex and Rubber are naturally sticky, Silicon is naturally slippery. In addition, Silicon does not have the oil problem…

Hunns, is this a good way to make homemade candles?
Hunns, my son Amstel wants to start his own candle making business. He’s asked us all to start saving our ear wax. He’s fashioned the most darling candles out of Maid’s and Butler’s ear wax but he’s having a hard time making candles out of mine. Linda asks…
How do I make a simple molds for casting stuff like wax or liquid rubber?
I am making some things at home which i will cast into metal, but i first want to practice with less dangerous substances like wax. if you answer how to make the mold, can you tell me how to make the mold with homemade items. like i heard you can make a candle from sand. i really dont want to buy anything but i want to make it work.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Sand is still a possibility, but not permanent for multiple copies. And some sands are better than others. Plaster of Paris is always a good choice and cheap. But making molds usually depends on what material you use for the final product and how detailed the figure is. So practicing with wax might not work. Your metal might be better to practice with. It can be melted down again.

Jenny asks…
How can I make those homemade jar candles?
Not the fancy votice molds and stuff, just jar candles and where to get to scents?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
HOPE THIS HELPS”"”
Here is what you’ll need:
Crock pot or a double broiler
Thermometer
Candle wax chips (preferably pre-formulated for candles)
Glass container with a lid (for the candle)
An appropriate sized pre-tabbed wick (the larger the jar, the larger the wick diameter needs to be in order to burn a puddle to the edges of the jar)
Essential oils or scented candle oils.
Food coloring
Optional:
Candle Making Kit
——————————————————————————–
Step 1
Heat the wax in the crock pot or double broiler to 160 degrees. For safety reasons, watch your temperature and make sure the wax does not get too hot. While the wax is heating, pre-heat the candle jar in the oven on lowest setting. (This helps the wax adhere to the glass better)
Step 2
When the wax reaches 160 degrees, mix the scented oils first and stir. When mixed thoroughly, add food coloring and stir again. ***Always keep an eye on the temperature. If the wax gets too hot, it can be a severe fire hazard***
Step 3
Take glass candle jar out of oven and carefully pour the candle ingredients into the jar leaving room at the top so the lid will fit and save a little wax for topping off. (The wax will sink in the middle after the first pour cools and a second pour is needed to level this off. This is called ‘topping off’).
Step 4
Straighten the wick and lower the metal disk base into the melted wax and try to place the disk as close to the center of the candle as possible. The wick should stand straight up on its own. (Don’t worry about the wick being perfectly centered, just try to make sure the base is centered)
Tip: To make it easier to keep the wick centered, try adhering the the base of the wick with a glue dot. They work like double-sided tape and are not affected by heat.
Step 5
Let the candle cool to where there is a semi-hardened crust on top. Now take the wick and adjust it so that it is centered in the jar (the crust will hold the wick in place when you adjust it)
Step 6
Let the candle completely cool at room temperature (could take as much as 6 hours). When cooled, you will notice that the wax will have sunken some in the middle. Reheat the remaining wax in your crock pot to about 185 degrees and pour just enough to flow to the edges of the glass.
And Finally! – Step 7
Let cool and trim wick to about a quarter inch and your very own custom candle is ready for you to enjoy! If you would like to be creative, try making candles with different containers. You can use porcelain, brass cans, or anything that will withstand the intense heat from the flame. If you are unsure about the safety of the container, just play it safe and don’t use it. Your friends will be impressed with your handy work when you tell them it is one of your “originals”! Learning how to make candles is fun!
PS U CAN FIND ESSENTIAL OILS AND SCENTED OILS IN A STORE LIKE BATH AND BODY WORKS JUST ASK SOMEONE THERE AND IM SURE TEHY’LL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU FINDN ONE!!!! HAPPY CANDLE MAKING!!!!!

It is called RTV and you can order it from chemical supply houses.
Note that unlike the RTV that people caulk their houses with, the liquid form requires a catalyst that you mix into the base material. Make sure you order that at the same time. (I seem to remember the catalyst is carcinogenic…not sure so you better check.)

Silicone is stable up to about 220C. Molten wax is only about 70C, so there should be no problem. Candle wax is nontoxic so the moulds should be safe to use again. Probably best not to use scent though

Your Questions About Scented Candles Cancer

Sandy asks…
why is it that my friend’s oncologist prohibits the use of scented candles?
is there a connection between cancer and scented candles? I heard that wicks have lead but i dont see the connection…
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Now a days, EVERYTHING is bad for you…..it’s ridiculous! I dont think that scented candles are going to cause cancer anymore then talking on a cell-phone will.

Linda asks…
Are scented candles carcinogenic?
I heard that scented candles can cause cancer.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
As others have mentioned, if they are made from paraffin wax (a petroleum-based product) they release toxins similar to those found in car exhaust.
It is now easy to find candles that are made with vegetable waxes that are very clean burning and do not release carcinogens.
The wicks are also important. Lead core wicks were banned in the US, but some imported candles may still sneak through. Zinc core wicks are also commonly used, and they may not be completely safe either.
So if you use candles made in the USA from vegetable wax or beeswax and 100% cotton wicks they will not contain any known carcinogens.

I can’t believe that lung cancer is the #2 killer of women here in the U.S. Second only to heart disease, which is understandable when you look at eating habits, weight, lack of exercise…but lung cancer when the total adult percentage is only 22%? I had seen on British news almost 2 yrs. ago that France has banned air fresheners (cans), plug-ins and the like because they found that prolonged exposure to these chemicals causes lung cancer. I know we have alot of pollution here along with God-knows-what in our food/water, but do you think the french know something we don’t? Has the FDA looked into this? Dana Reeves along with countless others have died of lung cancer w/o ever smoking. Are there any theories out there? I really don’t like giving kudos to the french, but I use these “smell good” products in my house daily and I believe that women, working outside the home or not, still spend more time in their homes than men do…..

CandleMadeEasy answers:
Thats a good question… My sister died of lung cancer last year and never smoked a day in her life. She was only 39 yrs old. I often wonder how she got lung cancer, but i dont think she used alot of candles or anything, maybe the air freshner though.

George asks…
please help me i have a question about candles?
um im kinda scared do scented candles cause cancer?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Unfortunately we don’t exactly know what causes cancer. It has to do with a genetic capability to get cancer but it also needs a trigger. You can’t go through life being afraid of what can/cant cause cancer. Obviously stay away from drug, too much alcohol, obesity, and smoking. Other than that relax. Since doctors think stress is a leading cause in cancer too.

Mandy asks…
do scented candles really give off carcinogens?
ive heard studies show they can cause cancer and pollutants in your body
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
It isn’t so much the scent – it’s the wax and the wicks!
Most candles, unless stated otherwise, are made from paraffin wax which is a petroleum-based product. The toxins and soot released from burning paraffin is similar to that from car exhaust!
Wicks sometimes contain a metal core made from lead or zinc which can also be toxic. Using lead core wicks in candles is now against the law, but if you buy candles that are imported from other countries you can’t be sure that they are compliant with the law. Zinc cores are still allowed.
Candles made from vegetable/plant waxes release much less soot and are non toxic. Use candles made with 100% vegetable wax and 100% cotton wicks and you will eliminate over 95% of the pollutants.
I included a link with information about some studies done. Note that the only source that claimed they had studies showing paraffin candles were not toxic and didn’t release more pollutants than vegetable wax candles was Blyth, Inc – a maker of paraffin wax candles.

Hang to dry first, or put in your hot water cupboard.

Need advice for a wedding proposal!?
So i have been with my girlfriend for about a year and a half now. We have been through a lot of good and bad times and are moving out soon.
My question to you is, is my idea stupid?
I was planning on leaving flowers and a note on her front step with instructions to go on youtube.com. I want to make a video with our pictures and memories. Kind of like a slideshow. Through out the video i will list the things i love most about her. At the end of the video it will have a video of me all dressed up nice expressing my commitment and love to her. I will tell her that i’m waiting at a location and have her meet me there in one hour. I will be standing there with flower petals around and candles to make it romantic and then boom i pop the question. haha. Yes or no?

CandleMadeEasy answers:
That sounds cool but don’t make it to obvious in the youtube video. Or you could leave the note and flowers along with a videotape or DVD and do it that way so no one else sees it.
BUT THAT SOUNDS COOL!

Donald asks…
How can I help my wife be more sexy/romantic?
My wife frequently refers to herself as a guy, because she prefers sex to be “Wham-Bam-Thank You Mam”. It’s complete role reversal, because I need seduction, communication, etc to get aroused.
My wife is trying to be more romantic and sexier, but she really has no clue what she’s doing. She is almost robotic. She will put on lingerie and light candles and lay in the bed and that is a big improvement from before when she would just come to bed naked and lay there.
My wife has been gracious in that she has asked me to TELL her what to do, and she’ll do it but it’s obvious she’s following instructions. Before we married she hadn’t been in a long term relationship and she said no one ever complained about romance, but it appears that her previous relationships were extended booty calls.
I put a lot of thought, energy, time, and money into romancing my wife and seducing her. I would feel unwanted because my wife didn’t. However, she eventually told me that I always brought new ideas to the bedroom so she figured it was my role. She’s trying now, but it seems weird because there is no emotion behind it.
Imagine your mate lighting a candle, and laying in the bed with a face that obviously says how long do I have to communicate before you just put it in?
And when it comes to lingerie she doesn’t buy it because it fits her body and makes her feel sexy, in fact she never buys lingerie that actually fits her properly.. She buys it because it’s cheap and it will shut me up. She’s even bought some from the 99 cent store. And she can’t wait to take it off when she does wear it. I don’t even believe she feels sexy in it.
I married a woman who is sexual, but not sexy or romantic. How can I meet her halfway? Sometimes I give her Wham-Bam but I feel totally unfulfilled. I like the feeling of my wife seducing me, and I feel cheap when she just lays there waiting for me to do something. I mean she’ll lay there in lingerie and if I don’t initiate something she’ll just continue to lay there until we fall asleep.
Please help, because this seems like total role reversal.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
Then guide her, step by step through what you truly want. If she’s willing and you’re patient, you can get through to her. Set up the scene as you would to seduce her, but then teach her how to seduce you.
It’s funny because me and my man have a similar situation, though maybe not as exaggerated as yours. I am incredibly easy to turn on, one nibble and I am ready to go. He on the other hand needs a little bit more seducing, which I try to accomodate him with. It’s hard at times, we both get frustrated, but we keep working on it. Just keep trying and you’ll both find the compromise you can both be happy with.

Mandy asks…
How the heck do I use a termisil coffee pot?!?
Ok, so I got a “wolomin termisil” coffee maker/pot/I dunno what the heck this thing is, for christmas. I have NO idea how to use it! Its some type of european coffee maker, I think! lol It came with absolutely NO instructions, so all I have to go off of is the picture on the box… which doesnt help much! It has a bottom compartment that holds a tealite candle and then a glass coffee pot sits on top of that. Then there is a glass “cup” that poses as a filter I’m guessing. I think you put the coffee inside of the glass filter cup thingy and then inside the coffee pot. The glass filter cup thingy has 8 tiny little slits that I would imagine the water would seap thru and then start filtering back out, therefore making coffee… well, it doesnt! Then there’s just a lid to put on top. So unless it takes more than two hours for it to start doing something, I’m doing something wrong. If anyone has one or knows how to use one, please help! Thanks so much!! =)
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
It isn’t a coffee pot … It’s a TEApot!! The center glass cup is for holding tea leaves. The glass decanter holds water, and the candle under the decanter gently warms the water to the temperature to infuse/steep the tea leaves. I *suppose* you could make coffee in it if you use the right grind. What that might be I dunno.

Your Questions About How To Make Scented Candles From Old Candles

Sandra asks…
i have the mother inlaw from hell?
i have the mother in law from hell. she came to my house n commented on the new etched chrystal glasses i got 80% off n bin. when she left the items were gone, how on earth does someone steal 7 cups n a bin.the brother knows there is no smoking in the house. he stayed over for a week n i found 40 cigarettes in my beautiful spare bedroom. he had stubbed them out in my grandmas china cups that were displayed there. she left them when she passed away. the sister ignores me on facebook but is nice to my face. when i met the mother i bought her a gift cos i wanted to make a good impression, i bought her a lo’occetaine gift basket. i got it on sale with the specials they had n instead of paying $600 it was $180.i added a few things that i got at another shop 2.lo’occetaine is a super expensive brand for really rich people, id never be able to afford it if it wasnt for the special.it was a huge gift basket with gourmet treats, hand cream, face cream, bath oil, reed difuser,3 scented soaps, foot balm, sugar scrub, perfume,3 scented oils, 3 scented candles, incense, relaxation cd,fardoulis chocolates, a bottle of her favourite sparkly etc. it was beautifully gift wrapped. anyway she hated it, she put it to the side like it doesnt matter, didnt really even thank me. 6 months later she has a go at me n said it was inconsiderate of me to buy her a gift like that, i asked her why n she said that i was flashing my money, but i didnt say to her “oh my god this was so expensive”.i dont know how someone can change that aorund, the next time i went away i bought her back a gift from overseas, a fine bone china teaset i got a victorias basement they are only maybe 100 anyway n thats not alot for a teaset anyway, she didnt seem intersted, all she said was i wish youd gotten me perfume like you gave to kate (my sis inlaw). she comes over for tea, doesnt comment on the food, i made roast pork, all she said was, i wish youd let me help you, but it was already made when they arrived then she helped me serve.she is so ungrateful. i redecorated our spare bedroom, i bought at auctions online, deceased estates n garage sales n i furnished the whole thing amazingly for 250. i bought beautiful antique furniture that someone thought was worth nothing n sanded it back n laquered it, i went to alot of trouble for this n when she sees it she says nothing, then says to my partner that i offended her by showing her cos shes not good at baragins hopping, my partner also agrees stupid reason to be angry.the brother doesnt flush the toilet, drank out of our milk, (i caught him), picks his nose n eats it, plays with his belly button then smells his finger at the dinner table then wiped the contents on my grannys napkins that she left me.he comes to our house n opened my partners 6 month anniversary pressent, it was a bottle of gentlemen jack.when we first moved to the area nearer to them cos we lived on the other side of the country we bought all new furniture as we sold all our old cos it costs too much to move furniture that wasnt very nice anyway.we saved for a year like crazy. when we got the the area she came with us shopping for furniture then at the end of the day wouldnt speak to me n i didnt know why. my sister in law later tells me that she is upset cos she was eying a $1800 dinig set n i didnt buy it for her, how on earth can she be angry about that, its my money.she came to our house warming n didnt bring a gift. she came to my partners bday n bought a card, shes not even poor thats the funny thing.she rings up my partner all the time saying her psychic intuition told her within 10 minutes of meeting me that i have the devil inside me. im a seventh day adventist so we are super churchy ppl. his sister believes th intuition fromt he start. they even said we have ghosts in our house n evil spirits that want to hurt n kill me. who says that to someone. she said one of the rooms is really cold, but thats cos it has 3 2mx2m windows so its gonna be cold cos windows let out heat n let in cold.shes so nice to my face but says awful thing to everyone else.she says the craziest things like she said to me in a conversation that domestic abuse is normal. whos says that to someone. she manipulates my partner n brings up things like he accidently ran over the brothers cat 12 years ago n she brings it upa llt he time.she even got angry that we shouted the whole family pizza, apparently that was my partner flashing around money but it wasnt, we just didnt want to cook n it was a movie night.im a portly girl n she says to my partner, she will only get bigger, have you seen those ppl on tv that are so fat that they cant walk, she could become that.all because ive gained 8kilos in 18months.she wastes heaps and heaps of her money on lottery tickets, ebay crap that she doesnt need, 4 crap cars in the driveway etc then calls me out on buying pizza.
another thing is i really want children some day, like 4 or 5 n my partner does too, i come froma big family n id

Lisa asks…
I was accused of stealing and kicked out of a grocery store?
Ok, so I finished work at 6, and waited til 9 for my friend and co worker to finish. We were gonna go to her place so she could give me something that I had ordered through Avon, but she wanted to stop at (Grocery store) before we went to her place. So we went there, and we didnt get a cart, (I never even thought to grab one, cuz we were just getting a few things) and my friend has her 2 month old with her, so we put a few things on top of the stroller. Well just before checking out, I went ovcer and was looking at scented candles, and while I was turned around, my friend put her stuff inside the stroller, at her baby’s feet because the things were too heavy and were starting to touch her babys head. I didnt see her put it in there. Then she told me she was going to check something with her boyfriend and would be back, and she left. I turned around and I didnt see the stuff on the top of the stroller, so I dont know if I just assumed she took it with her, or put the stuff back, and I closed the stroller tops that protect the baby from the light, so she could sleep. I didnt know there was stuff in the stroller. Then a guy behind me says “What are you conceiling in that stroller?” I said Excuse me? and he opened it, and I said, im sorry, Id didnt know my friend put those in there, I took them all out and showed him, he asked me if there was anything else in there, I said no. He said something about using a baby to shoplift, and insinuated we had stuff under her, hiding it. Then told me that he had been having trouble with someone with pink hair, that they were caught on camera shoplifting (I have pink hair) Im thinking WTF? So because I have pink hair, I must be that person?? I had my laptop bag over my shoulder, because I was using it while I was waiting for my friend to finish work, and the front pocket had my external hard drive in it and was bulging a bit. He goes “What’s in your bag?” I started getting defensive, I was frustrated at being accused of something that I didnt do, and I was mad that I was baing targeted for having pink hair and most likely he was following me in the first place cuz of that, and the fact that I have piercings. I said “Search my bag if you want to, Ill even take the baby out and you can look!” he told me to open my laptop bag, and when I showed him what was in it, he said, “Ok, now put your stuff back, and leave.”
It just pisses me off. I did nothing wrong. I’m calling head office of the grocery store tomorrow and filing a complaint, but I was just wondering what I can do about this. Was the guy right to do what he did, is there anything else I can do other than complain, will anyone listen to me???
Im tired of being stereotyped for how I look. People think Im a criminal because of my piercings, tattoos and hair color. I dont do drugs and I dont smoke, and people seem to be shocked at this, they think im this huge drug addict. Grr it pisses me off. And I know it is something that I have to live with when I choose to make myself look the way I do, but it is still infuriating.
Also, Doesn’t he have to have proof I was planning on leaving without paying? Like I know at other stores, they will wait til you walk out the door with the merchandise before grabbing you.
No I was not set up by her, she came back after, I went and found her and he followed me the whole way, and she tried to tell him what happened, and why she put the stuff there, but he wouldnt listen, and made us all leave.
And I know his full name, and unfortunately, he is the manager of the store.
Well I wouldnt have walked out without paying, because as soon as I would have gotten to the cash, my friend would have told me her stuff was in there and she had put one of my things in there too, so I would have asked her where it was at the cash.
It *was* an innocent mistake, blown out of proportion because of my appearance, and that is what frustrates me.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
Technically they are suppose to wait until someone leaves a store, cus otherwise what are they accusing you of? Of storing groceries?
Its sad that you get stereotyped for the way you look, how nice if people could look pass the misconceptions.
Sadly we don’t live in such a world anymore.
I think you are right to complain, regardless if he is the Manager, at least he will know not to treat people like that. Make a point of how can he blame you for anything if you hadn’t even left the store?

The Poets By The Sea–Part I and Part II?
I was clinging to some driftwood
Feeling lost and without hope
Love had tossed me overboard
But did not throw a rope.
I felt a lot like flotsam
As I washed up on a beach
The wreckage from my past
Was laying close, but out of reach.
It seems I’d found an island
I saw huts among the trees
I heard the clack of Underwoods
I struggled to my knees.
I staggered past a bathtub
And stumbled towards a shack
The smell of salt and sweet perfumes…
And then it all went black.
I woke up in a circle
How close-knit, I didn’t know
But the faces peering down at me
Sure had a healthy glow.
The clacking had abated
Replaced by far-off birds
And gentle quiet murmuring
From the group is what I heard.
I was laying on a mattress
In a room of teak and rose
And the smell of scented candles
started tickling my nose.
The next part’s kinda fuzzy
‘Cause I faded in and out
But late that night, round 3 A.M.
I woke…and I cried out..
An angel put her hand on me
Imploring me to rest
She said her name was BG
And “Would I be her guest?”
My head came off the pillow
I said “BG? That’s a corker!
Are you gal who writes those poems
I see in The New Yorker?”
A tiny grin was all I got
By way of a reply
She put a finger to my lips
And I began to cry.
She said, “You’re finally home now.
You’ll love it here, you’ll see
In time you’ll get to know us all
‘The Poets By The Sea’”.
…………..Part II……………….
Two days I rested on that cot
Beege tending to my needs
She gave me milk from coconut
(and other kindly deeds).
That night I heard a ruckus
From just outside the hut
The sound of laughter filled my ears…
I went to see what’s what.
A wondrous sight was waiting
I cleared my eyes of grit
Many people gathered ‘round
a blazing fire pit.
There was music and some dancing
And the sparks were flying high
A girl strumming a guitar
Looked up and caught my eye.
The group fell strangely silent
As the music ceased to play
And heads began to swivel
Towards this lonely castaway.
I must’ve looked quite silly
As I stood there on the sand
I know I felt quite sheepish
Being naked, understand.
BG took in shocked faces
As she rushed to hide my shame
She threw me an old bathrobe
As she chuckled out my name.
“Cheesy, oh my goodness!
My darlin’ what’cha thinkin’?
Your pants were hangin’ on a hook!”
She said, while she was winkin’.
She led me to the fire
And turned to face the group
Started making introductions
Putting Cheesy in the loop.
“Cheesy , here’s a few folks
I’d like for you to meet
We’ll start right here upon your left
The girl with hair like wheat.”
“She writes like she is ten feet tall
And Texas is her Heaven
But when she’s on her ol’ back porch
She’s known as 5 feet 7.”
“And next to her is Ashley
She looks like royalty
When she’s not longing for her prince
She’s longing for some tea”
“And this ol’ lech is Derrick
He’s smarter ‘an a whip
But when the girls have bath-time
He’s quivering his lip”
“And now we come to CAZ
Her friends will call her Carole
If you tell her that her butt is cute
You’ll have her o’er a barrel.”
“And this young man is JC
If you mess up, he’ll unload
Behind his hut he built himself
A solid-gold commode.”
“And here’s the one named Cassie
I take pleasure in ‘troducing
Her poems have got a quiet knack
For teary eyes producing.”
“And this young lass is Damsy Blues
Quick with wit and pen
If you wish to hear of heartache
You should read her now and then.”
“And here we have a beauty
Please don’t mind her ripped-shirt
A keener mind you’ll never find
Astoria stream of scripture.”
“And this ol’ bird is mother
But we call her ‘Ma’ instead
She holds us all together
While examining your head.”
“And over by that palm tree
Hunkered down and looking nuts
Is a mind that is unsuited
To a life of kissing butts.”
“We call him DaveBukHenry
(if that really is his name)
And he keeps the whole damn lot of us
From going quite insane.”
“But this is just a smattering
It’s just a few, my friend
There’s many more you’ll get to know
If you hold up your own end.”
And there you have it, readers
A tale to you, from me
I’m very happy now among
The Poets By The Sea.

Sandy asks…
Why was I being so protective of a candle in my dream?
The dream started out with me and a black haired boy now that I’ve never met that has been showing up in my dreams since I was six. I looked about three years older then I am now making me nineteen in the dream and him twenty-one. We were in the middle of a field with a giant tree in the center of it. This has always been my vision of how heaven would look. I was looking deeply into the boys eyes and it felt like our soul were connecting. He slowly began fading away into dust floating against the wind. Then, dream me woke up laying against her desk with my lavender rose scented candle in front of her being the only light in the room. But, it wasn’t my room it was our older brothers that if she is nineteen left to join the army a year ago. She mumbled something like “Another dream about him.” Then, there was a time skip. It was a night my nana was visiting. She wanted my candle and my father gave it to her, but I took it back saying “You can’t take this away. It’s the only thing I have left of him.”. I didn’t understand what she meant because he felt like he was still alive and real to me. Then, my alarm started going off waking me from the dream. What does this dream mean?
The dream felt so real. I sometimes have dreams that come true. Could this have been one of them?

AQUARIUS
Jan 21 – Feb 19
Ruling Planet: URANUS. The God of unexpected sexual twists and turns
Aquarians make much better friends than lovers, but when a typical
Aquarian gets some bang-bang, it’s more an intellectual experience than
an emotional one. Looks aren’t important to Aquarians in a relationship,
it’s the mind and spirit of a lover that turns Aquarius on.They are very
entertaining in bed and are probably the most inventive of all the
signs.Mental stimulation is more important to them than physical, which
means that pornography gets them hot! Aquarians are impatient and like
sex to be fast and satisfying. They are very particular about hygiene
and contraception and sleeping around holds little interest for them.
FAVE POSITION
Mutual masturbation.
BEST SEX TOY
A Dildo. Whether gay, straight, male or female, Aquarians will have some
fun with this.
AQUARIUS MALE IN BED
He has amazing staying power in the sack. He can keep at it and control
himself for as long as it takes for YOU to finish! He’s up for anything
too. Role playing, S&M, posing nude in the backyard at 5am… he’s just
not into 3somes, swinging or open relationships if YOU are involved.
He’ll do that for fun, but not with the love of his life.
AQUARIUS FEMALE IN BED
She’s looking for a lover who will be upfront with her, but until she
finds him, she will make do with whoever is available. LOVE freaks her
out. She likes keeping her emotions under tight control and may come
across as cold, but she’s just protecting herself.
THE BEST WAY TO TURN ON AQUARIUS
Lie down as if you are top and tailing and gently tickle and stroke the
ankles and the calves. Don’t tickle for
giggles, but tease. After awhile, do the same with your tongue. Lick up,
down and all around. Anywhere above
the foot and below the knee is fair game. Lightly nip the ankle of your
Aquarian, they may laugh, but it’s not
laughter from tickles, it’s a release of tension that will most
definitely lead to some action!
PISCES
Feb 20 – March 20
Ruling Planet: NEPTUNE
The God in charge of delicious dreams, dangerous deceptions and sexual
fantasies
Sexually speaking, Pisces is putty in your hands. Anything you want,
anything, is only a question away. If you’re looking for someone who
will go the extra mile to discover all your secret moan zones, then
Pisces is for you!
When a typical Piscean makes out, it’s an act of romance rather than
pure pleasure. Pisces is the sign of love itself. They are so romantic
and want satin sheets and candles, poetry and a full moon. Music also
gets them in the mood.
One of their least appetizing traits is their ability to become very,
very jealous. Sometimes they are so scared of losing the fairy-tale
romance that they ruin the happy ending themselves.
FAVE POSITION
Pisces is all about Oral affections!
BEST SEX TOY
A copy of the Kama Sutra, since your fish is into almost anything
PISCES MALE IN BED
He is romantic and has the reputation of being a womanizer. The
girlfriend of a Piscean man should keep her eye on the ball as he can be
a bit flighty. But he does make an excellent lover. He’s from the old
school that sex should be an almost out of body experience, and if he’s
showering his attentions on you, you’re in for a hell of a good ride!
PISCES FEMALE IN BED
She needs romance. It’s the very air that she breathes. She needs to be
held gently and whispered sweet nothings to but when it comes to between
the sheets action, she’s never happy doing the same ol’, same ol’ when
she knows there are more exciting options at hand.
THE BEST WAY TO TURN ON PISCES
The Pisces Zesty-zone is their feet! If you want to make Pisces your
Love Slave, start with a warm, scented
footbath and soak their feet for 10 minutes. Then sit in front of them,
cross-legged, and rub their feet firmly
through the water. Use kneading motions that run from their ankles to
the tips of their toes. After 5 minutes, get
a scrub brush and clean their tootsies with lots of TLC, dry them off
and lightly massage peppermint oil all over
their feet, paying close attention to between their toes. Pisces REALLY
gets off on this! Once oiled up, gently kiss
each toe, one by one. Then let your tongue take over and you’re in
baby!!!
ARIES
March 21-April 20
Ruling Planet: MARS
The bonk now/think later God of War, aggression and action!
Sexually, Aries is an explosion waiting to happen! The excitement is
often in the chase more than the
actual conquest though and while they may appear to want to dominate,
they do not want a submissive
partner. Routine brings boredom to sex for Aries, so if you’re only
comfortable with the missionary position,
go for another sign, but if you like forceful personalities and enjoy
pretending you’re a human Twistie,
then you’ve found paradise with an Aries.
FAVE POSITION
Always on top and alwa

Sandra asks…
Are candlestick patterns like dojis, harami cross, morning star used in Forex technical analysis?
I know they can be used in the stock market but the forex market seems to be too volatile to use candlestick patterns. Any financial experts or traders care to shed a little light?

CandleMadeEasy answers:
In the 1600s, the Japanese developed a method of technical analysis to analyze the price of rice contracts. This technique is called candlestick charting. Steven Nison is credited with popularizing candlestick charting and has become recognized as the leading expert on their interpretation.
Candlestick charts display the open, high, low, and closing prices in a format similar to a modern-day bar-chart, but in a manner that extenuates the relationship between the opening and closing prices. Candlestick charts are simply a new way of looking at prices, they don’t involve any calculations.
Each candlestick represents one period (e.g., day) of data.
I have met investors who are attracted to candlestick charts by their mystique–maybe they are the “long forgotten Asian secret” to investment analysis. Other investors are turned-off by this mystique–they are only charts, right? Regardless of your feelings about the heritage of candlestick charting, I strongly encourage you to explore their use. Candlestick charts dramatically illustrate changes in the underlying supply/demand lines.
Because candlesticks display the relationship between the open, high, low, and closing prices, they cannot be displayed on securities that only have closing prices, nor were they intended to be displayed on securities that lack opening prices. If you want to display a candlestick chart on a security that does not have opening prices, I suggest that you use the previous day’s closing prices in place of opening prices. This technique can create candlestick lines and patterns that are unusual, but valid.
The interpretation of candlestick charts is based primarily on patterns. The most popular patterns are explained at http://www.forex2u.com/candlesticks-forex-trading.html

Candlestick Patterns?
Stock Market Technical Analysis.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
In the 18th century a wealthy Japanese businessman, Munehisa Homma (a.k.a. Sakata) developed a technical analysis method to analyze the price of rice contracts. Today this technique is called candlestick charting and is widely used when drawing stock charts. Sakata began trading at the local rice exchange around 1750. He kept records of the market psychology learning to boost his profits by carefully monitoring prices and not to rushing into trades. Sakata is regarded as the Grandfather of candlesticks.
Candlestick charts use the same price data as bar charts (open, high, low, close). However, candlestick charts are drawn in a much more visually identifiable way typically resembling a candle with wicks on both ends. The high and low are described as shadows and plotted as a single line.
Learning how to read candlestick charts is easy. The price range between the open and close is plotted as a rectangle on the single line. If the close is above the open, the body of the rectangle is white. If the close of the day is below the open, the body of the rectangle is red. At HotCandlestick.com we use red to represent blood as in Sakata’s references to the battle between the buyers and sellers being analogous to wars waged in ancient Japanese times. More recently in the Western world we refer to the war between bulls and bears. When the bears are winning the war sometimes we hear analysts talk about blood on the street.
The website below will explain the pratical use of Candlestick Patterns

Laura asks…
In Japanese candlestick patterns are any differences between Stock and Forex ?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Think about what you are asking; you must not be familiar with charting at all.
A candlestick is simply the open, high, low, and close. It doesn’t matter what you’re charting in the markets, whether it’s oil, bonds, stocks, forex, hogs; they all have a OHLC.
Whether it’s a line chart or a bar chart or candlestick chart, a head & shoulders is still a head & shoulders, or a shooting star is still just that on any chart.
To answer your question explicitly, no, there is no difference.

Your Questions About How To Make Scented Candles At Home

Daniel asks…
How do I make candles at home?
I’m short on cash and I love candles so I figured making candles and selling them would be fun!
What do I need to buy and where can I get it?
Where do I get the scent oils and wax?
Wicks? I’m lost. Can anyone help me out?
A few year back when I still talked to my aunt, she made candles. Sold them for $5-$10. They smelt great and lasted for hours! I want to try it out.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
You can get everything you need to make candles, wax, scents, color, wicks, molds, and instructions, at any well-stocked craft store. Making candles can be as simple or complicated as you want it to be.
Selling candles is not so simple. First of all, you are competing with big companies that know what they’re doing. They can buy the raw materials much cheaper than you can, because a) they’re buying wholesale and you’re buying retail and b) they’re buying in bulk, which gives them a price break. They can sell candles for cheaper than you can make them, unless you are able to decorate or carve or otherwise embellish the candles. And most people don’t buy a lot of candles at one time. You might be able to sell one candle to this neighbor, and a couple of candles to a friend here and there, but for the most part, people will shop according to price…and WalMart, Target, and craft stores all sell candles cheaper than you can make them.
If you want to make candles for your own pleasure, go ahead, by all means. Just don’t expect to be able to make money from it.

Charles asks…
how do you make candles from things i have at home?
i don’t want to go out and buy it… that takes the fun away. i don’t mind if its not scented i guess im just looking for a fun craft to do
i can always get wax but i just am wondering i can make it from things i have at home… maybe? let me know!!! thanks
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
You can put things like pieces of candy, buttons, squares of tissue paper, potpourri, etc, in the hot wax before it hardens into a candle. Just be aware that some of these things may be a fire hazard if you actually light the candle!!!
Also, you can pour the candle wax into things like terra cotta pots, empty baby food jars, Mason jars, empty coffee tins, etc rather than buying expensive candle molds.

Joseph asks…
Where can I find how to make custom bath products(such as honeysuckle shampoo & lotion)w/fragrances at home?
I would like to create my own shampoos, conditioners, lotion, and soap at home with a honeysuckle fragrance. Where can I find out how to do this. It is very difficult to find honeysuckle products that smell strong enough. I would also like to know how to make room scents, and candles in honeysuckle. I want to do this at home. Where do I begin.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
A good place to beginning is taking some classes in Marketing/bussiness. This would give you training and get your foot in the door which would lead to the connections that you need. Anyone can start producing shamp.etc. But without knowledge and skills of the bussiness world and marketing techniques your going to have a real tough go of it. Good Luck.

Michael asks…
home made candles with scents?
How do you make homemade candels with scents?
I was flipping trhough a Christmas catalog and they had candles in coffee mugs. I thought this would be a great project to do at home, just not sure how to go about it.
Oh! I also need to know how to make candles. Do you just melt the wax stuff somehow?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
You might find the info you’re looking for here: http://www.myartsandcrafts.com/article133.htm
Also remember to use a double boiler when melting your wax. You can buy one or make one yourself as another poster mentioned. You need it to control the temperature of the wax so you don’t accidentally ignite it.

Laura asks…
How to make homemade-candles?
I know that I need to buy candle wicks, wax, spray, etc. but I don’t want to buy premade wax that has it’s own scent, I want to do something where I can add ingredients I have at home to make my own scent. I went to bath and body yesterday and bought a cinnamon candle and now I want to make candles, but I don’t want to buy cinnamon wax I want to make that cinnamon smell myself. Is there any way I can do that? And do I have to buy things from the store or are there items at home I can use?
Do I need to buy wicks, how are they different than plain string?
Can I use food coloring to color the candle?
Can I use a normal jar for the mold?

Your Questions About Candle Making Supplies

I’m new to candle-making and just ordered a bunch of supplies from out-of-state, and didn’t realize how expensive it was going to be for shipping and handling! Your Questions About Candle Designs Ideas

Mark asks…
Science Project Board Ideas/Designs?
I’m doing a science project about colored candles and mass. I got my science board and it’s due 2 days from now. I don’t know how I should decorate my science board. I was thinking of doing some flames and fire around it. But that’s all I can think of. Anyone else got better ideas? Please help. Answers are appreciated. =)
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
How about some red and orange crepe paper (or tissue paper you use to wrap gifts in) – the dollar store usually has something like this. Cut out flame shapes and glue just the bottom to the board so the top kind of “flutters” or flickers. You can put it all around the rim of the board so it catches every movement of air and looks really exciting.

Sandra asks…
Anyone know any good cake designs?

My sister’s b-day party is tommorow, and I have to make her a cake.
She just turned 17, so I want something that looks cool XD.

Icing sugar
chocolate cake mix
flour
eggs
sprinkles
food colouring
sugar
icing piper.
and candles
Any good cake design ideas?

Thanks in advance.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
Here is a website that shows how to decorate.
I have decorated cakes for baby showers, birthdays and my daughter’s wedding. I find the simple designs are the ones every one likes best.
A favorite was a plain yellow cake with a single real white daisy laid across it with white piping and a white shell design around the edge. If you use real flowers, make sure you rinse them well.
For my daughter’s wedding cake, I did white frosting, and white silk roses around the bottom edge and in a cluster in the middle.
I hope this helps you get some good ideas.

Nancy asks…
Creative Decorating Ideas for a dorm room?
My roommate and I are moving into an apartment style door room. It has a kitchen and a living room and still the same cinderblock walls. We also have separate bedrooms. For my room, I have a lot of photographer, graphic design, and painter friends so I’m trying to get each to make me something to put on the wall. For the kitchen, we thought about taking a champagne bottle and burning a candle into the top. Does anyone have any other cheap/creative decorating ideas? Or a website that might help? Thanks.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Simple things to spice up a dorm include colorful rugs, anything you can put on the walls (i had album covers up one year, my roommate was obsessed with fashion magazines and plastered the walls with her favorite ads, etc). For common areas, try picking a color scheme and buying things that fit into it.
The dollar aisles at target are a lifesaver, you always find the most random things, usually for under $5. Light becomes very important, so make sure you have enough lamps and stuff. I know a lot of people who collect liquor/wine bottles in their kitchens and its good at least for some color.
Also, if you’re allowed, try painting a wall or two, it really makes it feel more like home and its one less wall you feel the need to decorate.

Richard asks…
Any ideas for a mature bedroom?
Hi! I’m 14 years and I’m redoing my bedroom. I want something mature but fun. And, I want to be able to like it for a long time. My room is kind of small so, i can’t do a whole lot with it. i want color but not really bright ones. I like fun patterns and designs like zebra print but i also like calmer things like candles. I like modern/contemporary designs. so…if you could give me some paint, bedding, or design ideas(or anything else you think of), i would really appreciate it.
p.s. if you could provide links to anything you find that you think i might like, please add them.
p.s.s i’m not allowed to spend over $200 so….
thanks!
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Poabably best design for small budget small room is minimalist.
It makes the room bigger, mature, calm and everything a bedroom should be.
Stick to natural colours and tones. With basic patterns and styles it will make your room look tidy and bigger. And if you ever want to re model you dont have to fork out more money for whole new bed spread furniture etc because you could match it to your new design (because of the neutral colours etc).
Hope this helps.

George asks…
how could i make a very good advertisment with funny and nice ideas for a candleholder?
i was doing a product design coursework and the thing i am designing is a candleholder, now i have done manufacturing the candleholder and the step i am on is advertising it, but i really cant think of a good way to make my advertising look really attractive, funny and good as some TV advertisments, so could you please help and give me a good idea of making an advertisment for a candle holder as if really i am going to advertise it on TV because i am videoing it and also could you give me a cool name for the candleholder pleazzzzzzzeee?????
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
The best advertisements show the product in its true form and function. If you want humor…. Try it not as a candleholder, but as something else, then have the user (actor) make it become the candle holder. All depends on how you want the product to be NOTICED. Many commercials nowadays don’t even show the product, but show something eye catching i.e. Girls barely wearing clothes. Hope this is good brainstorm start.

Your Questions About Candle Designs To Make

HOW TO MAKE AN OUTLINE ON BAG PAPER CANDLE LANTERNS?
OK IM USING WHITE BAGS AND CANDLES TO MAKE LANTERNS FOR MY WEDDING NOW I NEED TO FIND OUT HOW TO MAKE BUTTERFLY DESIGNS ON THEM SO THEY WILL SHOW THROUGH ANYONE CAN HELP PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
In the future please don’t use cap letters this is an indication of shouting. Thank you
If you have any extra bags try different things. Heavy marker pens, get some pretty colored yarn and glue to the bag. It will look good in the day time and heavy enough so the candle wont show through but will outline the butterfly. If you check some of the places they sell stationary{Staples} see if they have a thin glue like substance that can be used or in Toys-r-Us they have things like that. Someone probably has a different answer but this is the best I can do for you. Regular paint can do the same job really anything that will not allow then light to go through. Congratulations.

Sandra asks…
What do you have for a hobby?”?
Ok so basically my BF thinks I need a hobby. He loves to work on his motorcycle, truck, woodworking, welding etc. I would also like to add that pretty much anything that is left after monthly expenses goes to his hobbies. Pretty much the guy is never bored but always broke.
Me on the other hand I don’t do much. Sleeping is not a hobby yet I think I could make it one. I sometimes play video games and I lose interest within 10 or 15 minutes, no matter the game. I am not artsy, mechanically inclined, and because of a knee injury I am limited as to what I can do outside. I don’t like wasting money so the idea of having to invest in something that is not important seems ridiculous to me. However he thinks I need to do something other then clean and sleep (which is pretty much what I do when I am not working) My biggest problem is that I get bored with everything. I start a model I don’t care to finish it. I can do word puzzles and such but have never finished a book. I do read but usually it’s to kill time on a bus (I don’t drive). I have had a few things I thought might be cool like building a gas powered car/plane but the starter kit is several hundred and upgrade and extra parts makes that price even higher. I will never spend that kind of money on what I consider being a “toy” and not needed in “real” life.
I have asked coworkers and friends that have hobbies and they like to make jewelry, crafts, clay work, cooking, sewing, stained glass, writing, soap or candle making, designs on shirts (like a printing press) and none of that interests me and most of it costs a ton of money to get supplies, tools, colors, etc. I can’t imagine spending 50 bucks or more on something I probably won’t finish and that will get stored away and eventually throw away because I needed to “try” something new.
It boils down to the fact that when I am bored I sleep because I am really not interested in anything. I don’t know what I can do that won’t cost me money or VERY little money and that will keep me interested for more then a few minutes. I also am not a people person so things like volunteering at a soup kitchen are out. I could volunteer at an animal shelter except I don’t drive and even the closest one on a bus would take hours of travel time.
So I figured maybe the people on here would have a suggestions.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
I suggest doll houses. While it’s true some can be very expensive, you can buy plans cheaply online and make the actual houses out of foamcore.
Check out this book.
they make this house out of wood, but as I said you can make it out of foamcore. I recommend it because foamcore is easier to cut and you don’t need anything fancier than an X-Acto knife and a straight edge.
Then you have the option of either buying furniture for it, for making all the furniture yourself. (That’s really fun.) If you buy the house furniture that can get really expensive. However, a lot of the fun of doll houses that are hobbies and not collector doll houses, is in using what you find to create art.
For example,
those plastic toy fans, make great spiral staircases.
Those cheap plastic combs with no handles (not a long black ones the ones with about three or four teeth) make excellent headbaords for beds.
An aspirin bottle embellished with buttons and little bits of lace and spray-painted gold, can make a great antique water heater.
A cardboard egg carton cut into pieces and make excellent stones for a path or a Castle Interior.
Small patterned wrapping paper makes excellent wallpaper.
Felt makes good carpet.
None of these ideas are very expensive. Some foam core board, a book of plans, and X-Acto knife are all you really need. You can spend more money on it later once you discover how much you love it.
by the way, if you want to see a realy cool dollhouse that can never be considered a toy, check out this dollhouse. Http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/fairycastle/

Laura asks…
Can we use small earthen pots to make candles?
I was just wondering if we can pour the hot wax into the little pots (made up of clay..earthenpots) to make scented candles. Will it work good if I paint them with the design I want and tehn make them into the container candles. What kind of paint should I use so that it would be heat resistant.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
You can use a special wax called Gel wax. That
makes great candles and you can add coloring to the wax while it is liquid. Yes you can paint the
outside of the clay pot. The heat won’t affect the
pot at all. Of course you can always pour the hot
wax first, let it cool then paint the pot. Michael’s
or Hobby Lobby carries supplies and instructions.

Michael asks…
Can I use ovenbake/airdry clay to make candle holders?
Is it possible to use ovenbake or airdry clay to make a candle holder? Specifically, the candle holder’s design would be similar to this one:
http://www.atticshoppe.com/images/porcelain/js19031150.jpg
The tealight goes inside and light and heat escape through the little windows and doors.
Or would it be safer to alter the design to have a glass globe to hold the tealight, like this design:
http://www.katescottage.net/images/house_votive.jpg
Is this something that ought not be attempted with clays that aren’t fired in a kiln?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I wouldn’t use either of those clays for the covered design – even oven-baked can’t withstand a flame or the heat buildup inside the structure, and any paint you might use will suffer as well (or may even catch fire depending on what you use).
Stick to the chimney idea – don’t allow heat or flame to come near any clay unless it’s kiln-fired – and be careful of painted surfaces as well.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
I also can’t access those sites so I don’t know the size and shape of candle holder you’re wanting.
The main thing for using either an air-dry clay or a polymer clay (also called oven-bake clay like Premo, Kato, Fimo, Sculpey, Cernit) is not to have the clay too close to the top of the flame. The heat directly over the flame will be much hotter than the areas beside it. So if your votive candle holder had a large enough space above the candle, it would be okay. (Paper doesn’t burn unless it’s really close to a direct flame until the famous 451 degrees Fahrenheit, and polymer clays won’t actually burn till they reach 385 though you wouldn’t want them up even as high as 200 or so because you might smell the normal smell of curing polymer clay.)
We do make lots of candle holders with polymer clay though, from the ones to hold votive candles in, to actual taper candleholders. Those can be made from solid clay only, but more often they’re made over some kind of armature at least part way.
If the object is to see the light shine through the holder with a votive candle in it, you could just cover a glass container with clay, then cut holes in it where the windows and doors are, leaving some areas for ventilation somewhere (in a “roof” you’d put on it made from clay or metal or whatever). And if you were using polymer clay, you could instead use a translucent (or colored translucent) clay in those areas, or even use a clay that has some translucent in it naturally, which when thin will let the light shine through—even some of the dark colors of polymer clay are somewhat or very translucent.
If you’re interested in checking out votive candle holders made with polymer clay (in various ways), take a look at this page at my polymer clay “encyclopedia” site:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/covering.htm
(…under the “Glass” category, click on the subcategory called “Votives and Light Shining Through”
…and perhaps also click on “Nightlights, Lamps, Screens” in case you’re interested in that type of set up)
P.S. If you’re interested in making small “houses” from polymer clay, that could be done in various ways too and there’s info on this page:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/houses_structures_gingerbread.htm

I have one of those little simmer pots that you’re supposed to potpourri oil in and let it simmer on low. It’s like burning a candle….I hope you know what I’m talking about?
Anyways, when my candles get to the point to where they won’t burn anymore, I scrape the leftover wax out of them & put it in the simmering pot. It’s a great way to get all my money’s worth out of my expensive candles.
I know this didn’t really answer your question, but if you give a lot of money for a good candle, this is a suggestion to help it go farther.

candle making??
my mom has started planning on starting a candle making business my dad thinks its a horrid idea. do you think its a good idea? she is planning to make it big. she talks about it all the time . she has even come up with a name for the candles and all. they both ask me what i think and im just here with the uh i do not know face. so i ask you all what do you think? we come from a small town of 33,000. not a lot of competition. do you think it will work out for her?
i guess the reason why i am asking is cause she has asked me to help her out with it.

Any dream you have is worth pursuing. And if you want to help your mother then do it, if not then don’t. However, you might find it fun. If your dad asks you what you think just tell him it doesn’t matter what you think, it is your mother’s dream. If your mother asks you what you think, be supportive. Even if you don’t agree that it’s a good idea, remember it is her dream and you can support her even if you don’t agree with what she is doing.
Personally, I think it’s great she has that kind of enthusiasm for it, and I hope she finds success. I know a person who went into candle making with her mother and they did it for several years. They eventually stopped doing it, but while they were doing it they had great fun with it.
Good luck to your mother, and to you.

Your Questions About Candle Making Instructions

Sandra asks…
Candle making Instructions?
I want to take up the candle making hobby. One of the people in my family used to do it, so we already have some materials in my house and a guide book. The person that used to do it has not done it in forever and really does not remember anyhting after 4-5 years, and no one in my family really knows how to do it. And from what I have seen when I tried it out is that it appears to be a very steep learning curve. So if I could get some instructions, maybe some supplies I need or some tips that would be great ![]()

Thomas asks…
Candle making…?
This is to anybody who makes candles. I wanted to know what wax to use that does not require using additives or acids or anything. A wax for container candles. I don’t know if there is a wax that you melt and all you have to add is the dye for color and scent, that’s it. That’s the kind of wax I want to use, if it will make good quality candles. Also, how much wax do you melt and how much dye and scent do you add to the wax?? I found a site that gives instructions for making container candles but it doesn’t tell how much stuff to use. Oh, and does anybody know if Michael’s craft store sells everything you need to make candles??Also, are their prices high?? I’d like to know before I drive an hour to my nearest Michael’s. Sorry if I sound stupid asking these questions! I want to start making candles at home and I want to know what to do and use, so that I don’t mess up anything and waste a whole lot of supplies. I don’t have that much money to spend and especially blow it, you know?!
Any info about supplies will help! Thanks!
Spencer Scott, you were no help. No thanks for being weird and goofy for saying something stupid that has NOTHING to do with my question! Why’d you even take the time to type that??

CandleMadeEasy answers:
I make soy candles at home . They are fun and easy.
You only need a double boiler (a Pyrex measuring cup and pan of water will do) and a candy thermometer works. I weigh my wax on a postal scale (easy to purchase at Walmart). One lb will make one 16 oz, 2 8 oz, etc. Soy wax is great and easy to work with because it melts at a much lower temperature, for me usually about 150 degrees. I add the color dye with the wax, melt it and let it cool a bit. I add fragrance (about 1 1/2 oz per 16 oz of wax for a highly scented candle at about 120 – 125 degrees. I stir frequently to make sure the fragrance mixes evenly. Then I pour after the wax cools to about 100 degrees or lower. You will notice it starts to get cloudy. Don’t worry about spills & clean up because it will not burn you and you can clean with soap and water. As far as wicks, start with pre-made wicks. They come in sizes depending on the size of the container. Your supplier should have a chart for measuring your wicks. Do not pay the high prices at retail stores – purchase your wax over the internet. Please check my source listed below.
Good luck and have fun!

Steven asks…
Instructions on making essential/fragrance oils?
I can’t find decent instructions on how to make your own essential oils for candle making.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
You can’t produce a real essential oil at home without the right equipment. An EO is typically extracted by distilling flowers/plant material. They are more expensive than a synthetic fragrance oil as they require alot of actual plant material to produce a small amount of oil. But the link below shows a wiki-how to actually make your own.
For herbal skincare, one can make an oil-based infusion of a plant such as calendula or lavender that has some of the beneficial properties of those plants, but that would not be suitable for scenting candles. May I recommend some sites that sell a wide range of fragrance oils for candlemaking and a few that also carry essential oils as well.
www.bittercreek.com
www.daystarsupplies.com
www.naturesgift.com (more essential oils and more natural-focused)
or to find a specific scent or dupe, try here for suggestions-

Paraffin is still the better option. It takes an area of soil to produce it that can be better used to grow food.

How can I be a stay at home mom?
My husband and I are very serious and determined for me to be a stay at home mom. My mother raised me and my 5 other siblings as a homemaker and my dad worked full time as a minister of a small church. We by no means had a lot of money but we werent poor either. His mother worked from home managing the apartments his family owns.
Here is our situation. He does not want me to work outside the home while we have a little one. We do not want to put our child in daycare. We do not want to leave our child with a baby sitter or family.
My husband works as a contractor as a security guard for a federal military installation. He has been doing this for 5 years now. He is former Air Force. He makes about $32,000 a year doing this. This is his only source of income. It’s a steady job but he recently had back surgery (microdiscectomy) and is finding it painful to wear a ballistic vest, heavy gear, and stand for 9 hours a day. The elements where we live is pretty rough during the winter (cold sometimes freezing) and it’s HOT and HUMID (95 degrees) during the summer. The hours are crap and he literally works from 3:45 am till 2:00 PM. He is/has been ready to find a new job/career.
I work full time for a computer training company. I am an office manager and make $30,000 a year. So far my income has really helped us. We do not struggle or stress about finances. We pay all of our bills and have been very blessed to have money left over each month. Since we were married in Febuary I have managed to put $2,000 in savings (which may not seem like much but it’s helping and continuing to grow little by little). We are planning on me cont. to work until my due date when I will go on unpaid maternity leave and will not return to work. I continue to work now for the health benefits as my pregnancy was labeled pre existing on my husbands plan.
My husband is currently checking into going back ti school and becoming a physical therapy assistant which would pay about $42,000 a year. He has a little less than a a year of classes and he would be done. The job would offer much better benefits and and better working hours. He is eligible for the GI BILL which would pay for ALL of his school and books as well as about an extra $1,000 a month. He will need to also work (to make the rest of our bills, groceries, gas, baby stuff, etc.) I just worry about how THIS is going to work with me staying at home. His parents do own apartments (they are LOADED) and I think he is going to see if they can in any way help. He feels like the security work is a trap and he needs to be doing something more stable to provide for our family. I think the school idea is great and the GI Bill is at an all time great offer.
I would like to learn to do something from home to bring in extra income. What can I do? I’ve thought of learning soy candle making and selling candles. What about possible childcare from my home? We live in a VERY nice house. I am not opposed to either of those options.
Is there any other ideas/options you all can throw my way? Opinions/ Etc. are greatly appreciated. I will choose a best answer. Im just looking for direction..

It depends on where you live too but here is what my husband and I do:
BUDGET!!!!!
-make a list of all your monthly bills
-make a list of all things you spend money on, like groceries, entertainment, etc.
-try to keep groceries around 75 a week and only go once a week.
-limit entertainment as much as possible, i.e. Eating out, movies, (we even cancled our cable bc I don’t have much time to sit anyways)
-we sold one of our cars and share one now (knocked about 300 to 400 a month out bc of gas, ins., and car payment)
-in the beginning I also watched another child for some $ but it is really hard with a newborn
Other small tips:
*coupons
*store brand stuff
*breast feed bc formula is insanely expensive
Good Luck. Things will be tight for a while but they will ease up.

Joseph asks…
How long will this homemade hair cream last in the refrigerator?
Here’s the treatment for straight soft healthy hair. (Idk if it will actually make ur hair straight, but just gonna try)
And I wanna know how long will the cream last in the refrigerator without going bad? Because I am still a student, applying for high school at that. So I don’t want to spend too much time on this, but I need to make my hair straighter. Im planning to do this treatment on Monday and Thursday, You think the cream can last for 1 week?
Straightening your hair is a long and daunting process. Many women have sped up the process, by using flat irons or chemical relaxers, which can dry and damage their hair. By using natural ingredients, one can achieve beautiful, sleek and shiny straight hair without all the extensive damage to the follicle! Milk and honey are one of the best ways to straighten your hair naturally, which works, deep down, to protect and nourish your hair and scalp. Add in some strawberries for a deliciously scented straightening balm. Here are some tips on how to straighten your hair naturally with milk and honey.
Step 1: Take one teaspoon of honey and add to a cup of whole milk. Mix together well until honey is completely dissolved in the milk. This will result in a thin liquid like substance that smells delicious.
Step 2: Smash a half cup of fresh, ripe strawberries, until well pureed. Then add into the milk and honey mixture. Stir until it creates a thick creamy paste that resembles yogurt. If the paste is too thin, gradually add more smashed fresh strawberries into the mixture, until you get the consistency that is desired.
Step 3: Add the creamy paste into your hair and let it sit for a minimum of two hours. You can smell the wonderful aroma of the strawberries, milk and honey to delight your senses. Pile hair on top of your head and relax with a natural facemask and some scented candles to get the total spa effect.
Step 4: Rinse hair under warm water and then shampoo as usual. Use a shampoo that is moisturizing, to provide extra benefits to your hair. This will leave your hair feeling extremely soft and shiny.
Step 5: Gently comb your hair while it’s still wet to detangle it. This will allow your hair to have a sleek and smooth look once it has naturally dried.
Step 6: Do this method about two times per week for three weeks to achieve your best results. This is a slow and gradual process.
Tips:
*You can take the mixture and place it in a clean lotion bottle for future use. Make sure to refrigerate the natural relaxer, or else it can spoil and go bad.
*Add natural Vanilla Extract to give the mixture a more pleasant scent.
*Do this while doing a weekly home made facial. This natural hair relaxer is perfect for a wonderful in home spa night.
*Add some scented soy candles and relaxing music for a perfect evening at home.
Warnings:
*This method can be messy, make sure that you wrap a bath towel around your shoulders to prevent the milk, honey and strawberry mixture to get on your clothes and skin.
*Do not use this method if you are pressed for time. This is meant to be a long and relaxing process.
*However, to straighten your hair naturally it will require several applications over the time. If you are looking for a natural relaxer that takes little time, try a different method such as coconut milk and lemon.
*Make sure to refrigerate or throw out any extra relaxer. Milk and strawberries can spoil easily if left out in the open air.
*The mixture used to straighten your hair naturally will not always come out as the same consistency every time. Sometimes too much or too little of an ingredient is used and will affect the thickness of the natural relaxer.

Hi there! It’s so wonderful to see you thinking of the importance of being a SAHM. However as you know in this day and age the idea of one income is frightening. I was in the same position, my husband and I adopted our son and so we did have time to prepare to live on one income, but that slowly changed as the economy changed. About 2 yrs ago I was introduced to the option of a home business. I did fall into the trap of trying a little bit of everything and found out most biz (especially those that are labeled MLM’s) while most are legit are so darn difficult to succeed at. I for one was not a “sales” person and didn’t like the idea of having to book parties month after month at strangers homes. I finally did find an opportunity of a lifetime with a company that’s been in business for over 23 years and yes they are registered with the BBB. It’s not a typical MLM and does not require direct sales. It’s a unique revenue sharing concept that allows for true monthly residual income. I could go on and on, but I will give you my website and have you take a look. If you are interested, request more info and we can chat and give you all the details. Www.HelpUstayHome.com

CandleMadeEasy answers:
Wow, Im due about 2 weeks before you!! My husband and I are going through a similar situation. He is going back to school for accounting and working full time in a factory. His company is very stable and are actually hiring on a regular basis to keep up with all of the work that they have. I stay home to run the household, start an online business (I make products to sell) and take care of our soon-to-be baby. It’s not easy and sometimes we have to make sacrifices to get what we need instead of what we want. My husband carries my insurance through his company so the baby and I will be well taken care of when it comes to our medical stuff. Staying home can actually save you a TON of money when you have a baby. You wont have to pay for daycare, gas to work and back, etc. While you’re home, you can spend more time shopping sales and clipping coupons (every cent adds up!!) If you find that you are really broke, you can get good food discounts through www.angelfoodminitries.org (you dont have to qualify for this program). We do a lot of shopping at aldis and walmart to cut costs and we shop with a list to avoid impulse buys. When you stay home, you have more time to cook meals from scratch instead of going out to eat. Eating at home is cheaper by a long shot! When we have our baby, we will be using old fashioned flat-fold cloth diapers and I’ll be breast feeding and making our own baby food to save on cash (and it’s good for baby!). I’ve been staying home since the end of january and there are some days that I hate it. I -do- get tired of hanging out with my cats all day. I do miss people and there are some times that I feel like Im losing my mind but it allows you to have a little more time for yourself (like taking walks in the morning) and I feel like I’m helping my husband by taking care of making sure bills are paid, laundry is washed and not piled up for him to have to do after long day of work. We have more time for each other, which is also really nice. So, as far as your extra bit of income goes, check out online places like etsy or weekend craft shows in your town. I just started up a store on etsy. Look around the internet to get ideas of what kinds of things you would enjoy making that would also sell well. Im a leather worker/costume designer so I make a lot of leather masquerade masks, renaissance, elizabethan costumes, corsets and that kind of thing. Even if I only sell one thing in a month, that little bit of extra cash REALLY helps on the grocery bill. Etsy is a great place to start because it’s free to set up and they have affordable fees. The store set-up is nice and you can sell to customers all over the world. A LOT of stay at home moms have etsy shops. Since you’re going to be a new mommy, if you’re handy with a needle, you can make baby stuff to sell. Home made bath products are very fun to make also and are popular sellers at craft shows and festivals. Experiment with your different talents and see what you like. Check out sites like mommysavers.com for coupons and money-saving ideas. You can do this, dont let the economy get you down! If this is what you and your husband want for your family, I say go for it!!

When making carved candles you have to dip the mold candle many times into different colored wax. My question what is the thing called that hold the wax. It looks like a box with 6 buckets in it. I am sorry my description is not very good but i do not know how else to describe it. Thank you in advance for all answers =)

I’m sure you could do with just a single dipping box at a time, not the 6 compartment model but it’s all on that site for you to drool…err check out.

CandleMadeEasy answers:
I used to make candles when I was younger but never bothered with bought moulds or wax etc. And was insulted when my sister bought me a kit for my birthday!
I used bits of candles that had burnt down beyond useable, empty yoghurt pots, string, an old sauce pan, an old pencil and some blue tack and a sharp object like a skewer or similar.
To make the ‘mould’ you take a yoghurt pot pierce a hole in the bottom using the skewer and thread the piece of string through the hole. You tie the other end of the string to the pencil and pull it taught so the pencil is resting on the top of the pot. You then stick blue-tac over the hole so it holds the string in place and also prevents leakage. Melt the wax down in the saucepan, leave it to cool for a minute – if you pour it in when it’s still hot the pot will melt and go out of shape. Leave the wax in the pot to go solid – when it’s cool and semi-solid you can transfer it to the fridge to speed up the process. Marbled candles are also good, these are created by taking bits of solid wax and placing them in the mould first, then pouring melted wax on top. The solid bits show through if they’re a different colour from the main wax.
I used to sell them and give them to friends and family as presents.
Thanks for asking, brought back a load of nice memories!

Where can i buy cheap candle making kits?

CandleMadeEasy answers:
You don’t need a kit! All you need is some old candles, a stove, a pan, and an old coffee can. If you live near dirt, that’s even better.
There are two ways of making a candle.
Melt the wax and pour it into a mold, or just continue dipping the wick into the melted wax, letting it dry between dippings until it gets to the length or size you want.
Start with the old candles, the leftover ends no one wants.
Put them in the coffee can.
Put the coffee can in the pan of boiling water on the stove.
Melt the wax.
The reason I said dirt is because you don’t even need a mold, you can dig a hole in the ground and pour the melted wax in.
You can buy wicks or make your own.
The best way to keep the wick straight through your candle is make sure its long on the bottom and the top, tie the top of the wick around a stick or wooden spoon and lay it across the top of your mold or dirt or can or whatever.
You can do it in stages with the coffee can method with different scented or colored candles. Melt a little, pour it in the mold (another coffee can is great). Melt some more after that has set, pour it in. Keep doing layers and when the candle is done, it will look great and as it burns it will give off numerous scents.
Don’t spend money on a kit. Go to garage sales or thrift stores or just use what you have around the house.

George asks…
A good website/shop/place from which I can order candle making kits/supplies?
-Something preferably cheaper but good quality
- useful for a beginner in candle making
- if expensive, worth the price
- or a good bargain
- preferably contains all ingredients/equipment for making my first candle
THANKS!
if possible, suggest somewhere in the UK, so delivery wont cost too much…or an actual STORE in central london where I can go and buy supplies, without having to order off the internet.
please add a hyperlink if u are suggesting a website if possible.

John asks…
Can i use body perfume with a candle making kit?
a candle makeing kit i have uses theses little beeds that when melted after it’s put into the glass container and lit once turns into wax, if i spray in a little bit of body perfume will it be bad, or will it help give the non sented beads a good smell?
i wouldn’t be spraying the purfume on an open flame, the perfume would be mixed in with the wax beads.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
No because body perfume has an alcohol base. You need to use essential oil to scent the beads. Spraying perfume on an open flame could be quite dangerous.
Be careful when making candles as a lot of house fires have been started from this craft project.

Making gel ..pie candles with embeds need some help?
Do i put the embeds in after i pour the gel or prior? Its 6 tiny blueberry pies (with blueberry embeds) Thanks!

CandleMadeEasy answers:
You put your embeds in before pouring your gel. Here is a link for making gel candles www.candlemonster.com hope this helps.

Mary asks…
What items can you place inside of a gel candle-does it have to be made of wax also(embeds) and glass?
figurines? Can you place candy(candy corn) around the sides of the candles so they won’t burn (and other objects)
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
If you want to be safe you put in wax, glass, porcelin embeds. Candy is flammable, many things that you think that would be safe are flammable. If you really want to use something other than an embed designated for gel candles then I suggest you use a larger glass container and then a smaller one inside it. You put the gel between the 2 containers with whatever you want to use as an embed. The middle empty container can then hold a tealight or votive that you can refill.

Mandy asks…
Im making Gel Candles for my wedding centerpieces, need beach themed embeds?
But I cant find any online, Im looking for flip flops, beach balls, rubber ducks, stuff like that. I dont want links for shells or marbles, I already know where I can get those. I’m trying to find either glass or wax ones, I know some places have the mini favors like these that they can scatter on tables or whatever, any help would be appreciated.
I’ve already tried oriental trading, and I went to a.c moore and the dollar store and nothing, a c moore is already transitioning to fall stuff
I dont want flat things I want them to be 3-d, and if you had read the question they are not favors it is just for my centerpieces, not for people to take home and “collect dust”

Paul asks…
How much does gel candle wax at michael’s cost? And how do you embed things in it?
How do you put the objects in because i am putting cell organelles in it. Help!!
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
Last time I checked, gel cost about $4.00 per pound at Michael’s. To embed things in your candle, buy the medium weight gel, melt the wax, pour it into the container and allow it to cool slightly. Then, using the end of a metal spoon or metal skewer, push the objects down into the wax.
It’s impossible to be more specific because the room room temperature, container and weight of the embeds will all factor into this. Unfortunately, this is a trial and error process. I would suggest just pouring one candle at first and be prepared for the embed to sink lower than you want it to.
If this is your first foray into making gel candles, please be very careful that whatever you embed is not flammable! On the other hand, if this is for a school project and is not a candle you can do what my daughter did for AP biology.
She made a cell organelle display using gel candle wax by pouring the wax into a small foil pie pan that we sprayed a bit of Pam in. We poured the wax one inch deep. When the gel cooled slightly, she embedded different shaped beads and buttons into the wax. After the entire thing was completely cooled, she gently removed it from the pie pan.
Good luck! I figure the whole project should cost you under ten dollars.

Your Questions About Soy Candles For Sale

John asks…
How should i do my layered candles?
This is all based on your opinion.
On my website i’m going to have double layered candles for sale. They are soy candles if you are wondering.
They only have two options (drop down menu) per idea i have.
1st idea:
Under each scent name they can pick their top layer color and bottom layer color – But the candle will be all one smell!
2nd idea:
Have them choose what top scent they want and which bottom scent they want and i will have a list of what colors go which what scents.
What idea would you like to be able to choose from IF you were buying a candle?
SPELLING ERROR: “colors go WITH what scents.” **
http://soyndipity.googlepages.com — free shipping on all orders
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I like 1st idea better because I would be afraid of picking 2 scents that smell bad together. ( When you get to the middle)
I have also found that to many choices make it harder for the purchaser to pick and in return they may not buy.

Joseph asks…
Where do I sell Soy Candles?
I have a ton of Mia Bella soy candles in a bunch of different scents… jars, votive, cinnamon buns and soap bars. I am looking to sell these candles and I don’t know how to go about doing this? Does anyone know of a place where I can put them up for sale ? I’m going to sell them cheap so I don’t want to spend a lot of money posting them just looking to get rid of them and i don’t know what to do… can someone help please?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I would say sell them on ebay, or make an ad on Craigslist. Or if you or a friend is having a garage sale, you can sell them there.

Mandy asks…
What to use as candle containers?
I live in Okinawa (military wife) and I’m starting to make soy candles (for the home and for sale among the families here) and I need good, cheap, crafty ideas for what I can put the wax in.
Since recycling is really big on the island, I figured I could use metal food cans that they could recycle after they’ve used it, but I just don’t have enough of those around…
Can anyone recommend something else or recommend a really cheap site that sells containers in bulk that will send to our APO address here?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
For container candles, consider old baby food jars, unmatched cups or mugs from an old set of dishes, highball, shot or juice glasses, and tuna or cat food cans. Sometimes people want an empty candle container refilled, so you could offer custom pours. Also, see if people would be willing to recycle their old containers by giving them to you.
You could also go the ‘containerless’ route. You could get some molds and make votive candles – the users provide their own containers. Another possibility is to revive the 60s and make sand candles – the sand becomes the container, and I’m guessing you have plenty of it around.
I’m sure you’re aware that you need different types of wax for container and containerless candles, and that you need to match the size (and number) of the wick(s) to the diameter of the candle.
Good luck – I hope your project really ‘catches fire’! (Sorry, couldn’t resist!)

David asks…
Question about the candles from Yankee Candle…?
I am a HUGE candle junkie and don’t mind paying more money than most people would for a candle of GOOD quality. I’ve always avoided Yankee Candle because of quite a few bad reviews and stories I’ve heard from friends and family. It seems the main issue is problems with “tunneling” which leaves large amounts of unusable wax on the sides of the jar. I’m wondering if their tumblers…which have 2 wicks rather than one….would burn better. I do like the scents from this company and their semi annual sale starts in a week so I’m trying to decide if I should try them out.
*Also, I don’t really tips on different candle companies to try. I’m familiar with a large majority of them. I also know that soy candles burn better…but again, I’m JUST wanting to know about the Yankee Candles in this question. 10pts for best answer!
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I personally really like Yankee Candle. Here’s the problem:Alot of people are unaware that you need to let the candle burn for a least a few hours to avoid tunneling. That goes for pretty much any brand, not just Yankee. If you absolutely don’t want to burn a candle for hours at a time, then soy wax candles would be a much better choice for you. They tend to burn way more even.To answer your other question, yes, the tumblers with two wicks definitely burn more evenly in a shorter amount of time.HTH, and good luck

Sandra asks…
how many kinds of candle waxes are out there?
I am looking for an environmental friendly for my candle making business so paraffin is out of question for me. I also want the candles to hold scent and shape well, so that crosses out soy wax. i cannot afford beeswax, and I don’t seem to find vegetable was for sale anywhere, in fact i’m not sure if there is such a thing. any suggestions???
thanks!

Your Questions About Candle Making Supplies Wholesale

Sandra asks…
Where can I find primitive/country unfinished wood furniture and home decor wholesale?
I am trying to start my own company by painting prim/country wood decor and furniture and reselling it at craft shows and little craft stores around Ohio but don’t know where to get the basics for my business. I will also be making my own candles so if anyone has any wholesale info on candle making supplies and acrylic paint that would be great!
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I do not know where you live but I have lived in the chicago area and in houston and there are always local Amish stores, you could go speak to them about buying in bulk and getting a good price.

Donna asks…
starting my own candle business?
my sister and i want to start our own candle making business. anyone know wholesale companies or stores to buy supplies, preferably in ohio so we do not have to pay for shipping.
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I really don’t know anything about distributors in OH but I get alot of my supplies on EBay…you could try that too. You can make up alot of what you would save on shipping by getting products at a much lesser cost.
Also, I wanted to say this. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do this. I started my business last November and though it has not been easy, it has been wonderful. I was really upset by people answering you by wanting you to jump on the bandwagon of selling candles for them. I don’t know what your products will be but if you think you can do it, you can. I am an accountant who has worked all my life at that and wanted a hobby. I started making candles for myself and it now has become a full fledged business.
I wish you all the best in your endeavor. I would recommend that you have a stash of savings to get you through. I saved 6 months worth to start up my business and contracted my accounting services on the side. I now have the business up and running and will now go back to working full time with my candle business being my second focus. It is not easy at all. It does take alot of time. Also, I want to suggest that you do alot of testing … That was one mistake I made when I started and now know better. Stick with popular fragrances to start and add some “weird” ones to make yourself stand out.
I have listed my website which has a contact page if you have any questions or just want a buddy in the biz.

Susan asks…
I was thinking the wholesale licence would make my basket supplies a little cheaper.?
How much are your candles and what types and sizes do you carry? I always use them in my baskets.
how could i find out more about wholesale licence? what exactly they are for and how to obtain them?
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
I recommend this site http://wholesale.50webs.org , they have up to 90% off retail prices. This is the best place to go for start ups too, as there are low minimum order quantities and thousands of suppliers listed to choose from.

Sandy asks…
I need help figuring out some math!?
ok so im not good at math. so anyone out there who is, please help. i buy and make candles, i buy my supplies at wholesale price, is there anyway i can resell my candles at wholesale price too and still make profit? It cost be about $45 for supplies, $6 for 12 4oz jars, $15 for 10 lbs of wax, wicks and scents are about $15. i can make 12 4 oz candles with 1 lb of wax. how much 4 oz candles can i make with 10 lbs of wax? How much can i sell it for and still make profit? how much profit? thanks!!!
![]()
CandleMadeEasy answers:
$6 for 12 jars = $0.50 / jar
$15 for 10 lb. Wax = $1.50 / lb of wax {This is enough for 12 candles, so the wax for each candle is $1.50/12 = $0.125}
{10 lb of wax is enough for 120 candles.
So far, we have $ 0.625 (62 1/2 cents) in each candle.
Now, for the wicks and scents, how many candles can you make with the $15 of wicks and scents?
You’ll need to find out your unit cost for each wick and each scent, then add it to the $ 0.625 to get the cost of one candle.
Once you have your production cost of materials, decide how much your time on each candle is worth, and add that in. Keep in mind, you also have heat costs, etc.
It sounds like this is a hobby and you’re enjoying it, so don’t get too stressed out about crunching the numbers.
Just watch; if you make a lot of money (several thousands of dollars profit) at this, the IRS will want its share.

Ruth asks…
How to make candles as favors, or where to get them for cheap?
I am trying to make candles (theme Garden) as favors for a special occasion. I’m trying to find out how -and- what materials are needed to make them? I want to make small candles specifically the color and scent I want? where can I order the supplies? about how much is needed to make about 80 small candles? would it be cheaper to order them wholesale?
