Open Calls

The 13th Epson International Pano Awards
Open internationally, the 13th Annual Epson International Pano Awards celebrates all facets of panoramic photography. The competition will award over $40,000 in prizes, including $14,000 in cash. There is an entry fee of $22 per submission.
Submission deadline: July 11, 2022 midnight (UTC-11).

Shell construction: Building community
The Fullerton is seeking proposals to revitalize a building envelope or structure with no roof or floor in Newburgh, New York. Projects should consider the typology and conservation of the shell. An artist or collective is paid $10,000 to complete the work.
Deadline: 10:59 am ET on July 11, 2022.

The Burlington Contemporary Art Writing Prize
Art authors with fewer than six published reviews are eligible for The Burlington Contemporary annual award. A winner will receive a prize of £1,000 and future publication opportunities.
Closing date: July 15, 2022.

Artist residency Loghaven
The Loghaven residence in Knoxville offers work space and a scholarship. The registration fee is $20, and artists must live more than 120 miles from the city.
Closing date: July 15, 2022.

Project Row Houses Southern Survey Biennale
Project Row House is seeking new work from Southern artists. An artist receives a prize of $25,000.
Closing date: July 15, 2022.

International Art Textile Biennale 2023
Fiber Arts Australia is open to international applicants and is seeking submissions reflecting contemporary textile practice as an art form at the International Art Textile Biennale with prizes totaling AU$15,000. There is an entry fee of AU$75 for submission of up to two artworks.
Deadline: July 17, 2022.

Nice bizarre art price
This annual international competition, which awards $57,000 in cash and prizes, celebrates diversity and excellence in the visual arts and supports all static media. The grand prize is $13,500 and there is a $40 entry fee.
Deadline: July 17, 2022 midnight PST.

The Meitar Award for Excellence
The seventh annual Meitar Award for Excellence awards a photographer a $14,000 stipend for a solo exhibition at the PHOTO IS:RAEL International Photography Festival 2023. Twenty finalists will also participate in a group exhibition at this year’s festival in Tel Aviv in November . Admission is $54.
Closing date: July 18, 2022.

Airbnb’s $10,000,000 OMG! fund
Airbnb is expanding its collection of playful spaces — this six-ton ​​potato is one of them — and is awarding $100,000 each to 100 designers interested in creating a one-of-a-kind place that’s part of its OMG! Category. Final projects must be completed by August 2023.
Deadline: July 22, 11:59 p.m. ET.

Conservatory Project Room
Open to all media, a public call by Sunroom Project Space is seeking emerging artists from the New York area to develop a site-specific visual arts project in Wave Hill. Four artists will be selected for solo exhibitions and will receive a $2,000 honoraria, exhibition support and professional development.
Closing date: July 22, 2022.

Faena Prize for the Arts
Artists of all genres, disciplines and technologies are invited to imagine temporary and site-specific projects to be installed in Faena Beach during Miami Art Week 2022. The winning entry will receive a prize of $100,000.

8th National Judging Show at the Oxford Arts Alliance
Now in its 8th year, the National Judging Show at the Oxford Arts Alliance is holding an open call for an October 2022 exhibition. There is an entry fee of $30 and a grand prize of $500.
Deadline: August 19, 2022.

SPIE International Day of Light Photo Contest
The annual SPIE International Day of Light Photo Contest focuses on light and its important role in nature, art and technology. A winner receives $2,500, with smaller cash prizes for runners-up.
Closing date: September 16, 2022.

The Bennett Prize for Female Figurative Painters
US-based painters are invited to apply for the third edition of the Bennett Prize, which awards an artist with $50,000 and a runner-up with $10,000. The entrance fee is $40.
Deadline: October 7, 2022 11:59 PM MST.


Media Arts Assistant Fund
This fund provides support to individual New York-based artists for the completion and/or public presentation of new works in all genres of audio and moving image art, including new technologies. Artists receive up to $7,500 for assistance in completing new work.
Closing date: July 1, 2022.

Illuminations Fellowship for Black Trans Women Visual Artists
This $10,000 grant recognizes existing work by a black trans woman. It will also provide additional support to continue their work.
Closing date: July 15, 2022.

Circ Artist Grants
This program provides unrestricted $550 grants each cycle to two artists to improve their practice. The registration fee is $25.
Closing date: July 20, 2022.

Prospect Art New Work Open Call
Prospect Art is looking for conceptual work in the initial phase for its grant program. Each year, two $1,000 awards are given to artists or collectives to realize a project. There is a $10 registration fee.
Closing date: July 20, 2022.

Southern artists for social change
This National Performance Network program provides $25,000 in project grants for artists and cultural leaders of color who live, work, and advocate for social change in urban, rural, and tribal communities across Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Submission Deadline: July 29, 2022 at 5 p.m. CST.

Art and Change Grant
The Art and Change Grant is open to women, trans*, and/or gender non-conforming artists residing in Philadelphia.
Deadline: August 1, 2022.

The Canadian Female Artist Award
This grant program is open to Canadian female artists ages 25-40 residing in upstate New York and offers three unrestricted awards of $5,000, one in visual arts, one in media and design, and the other in literature.
Deadline: 5:00 p.m. EDT on August 30, 2022.

$500,000 Creative Capital x Skoll Foundation Fund
Kickstarter, Creative Capital and the Skoll Foundation launched a $500,000 Creative Capital x Skoll Foundation Fund to support projects by Asian, Black, Indigenous and Hispanic creators. Awards are continually given to creators in categories such as Arts, Comics & Illustration, Design & Technology, Film, Food & Crafts, Games, Music and Publishing.

Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund
Adobe’s Creative Residency Community Fund continuously commissions visual artists to create corporate projects. Winners will receive between $500 and $5,000.

Residencies & Grants

Artist residency of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart and Sullivan
Open to emerging and mid-career artists working in all disciplines in the greater Los Angeles area, this residency awards two artists at $5,000 per month for four months plus an allowance of up to $1,500 for materials.
Deadline: July 13, 20202.

Puerto Rico Youth Scholarship
Activists between the ages of 21 and 35 are invited to apply for the Puerto Rico Youth Fellowship with a proposal focused on decolonization and climate justice on the island. Recipients will receive $45,000.
Closing date: July 15, 2022.

2022 CatchLight Global Fellowship
CatchLight is awarding four $30,000 grants to artists, educators, organizers and anyone using visual storytelling for social justice. It is open to all media.
Deadline: 12 to PST on July 18, 2022.

Image Justice Scholarship
Google’s new six-month program will award 20 grantees $20,000 in unrestricted funding, mentoring and workshops to help them create an image-based project that lifts communities of color. Applicants must be US residents
Deadline: 11:59 am ET on July 18, 2022.

MOPD Field Office Artist-in-Residence program
A Chicago-based artist or collective is selected to develop cultural programming for and by people with disabilities and seniors, and to help transform and inform spaces in the city. The budget is US$60,000, including a US$15,000 stipend for artist honoraria.
Deadline for entries: July 21, 2022 at 5 p.m. CDT.

2022 #BlackVisionaries Scholarship
Instagram, the Brooklyn Museum and curator Antwaun Sargent are behind the 2022 #BlackVisionaries Grant, which will award $650,000 to emerging black artists and designers ages 18-35 and small organizations as young as 10 years old . Applicants must be US residents
Deadline: July 29, 2022.

Sculpture Park Franken Residenzen
Franconia offers a collaborative residency experience, with up to 18 select artists living on-site in their 4500 square foot farmhouse. This year’s theme is “Public Art IS Public Health”. Applicants should express an interest in researching and creating work that explores the intersectional impacts between public art and public health.
Deadline: August 1, 2022.

The Anita Wetzel residency grant
The Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, New York will accept an artist aged 45 or older for a 4-6 week residency. Anyone working in the fields of intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screen printing, darkroom photography, or ceramics is eligible, and the selected artist will receive a weekly stipend of $350, up to $500 in materials, and up to $250 in travel.
Deadline: August 1, 2022.

Open call for Fountainhead residency
Visual artists are encouraged to apply for a month-long Fountainhead Residency, which provides round-trip airfare, living and working accommodation, and a stipend.
Deadline: August 5, 2022.

BIPOC residency at the Corning Museum of Glass
The Corning Museum of Glass offers one or two artist residencies in its New York studio. Each lasts one month and takes place in March, April, May, October and November.
Deadline: August 31, 2022.
