23 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: May 19-24 July – Milwaukee Magazine | Candle Made Easy

Tuesday 19 July

It’s anniversary week for the 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) and the fun begins with a beer dinner featuring Trouble Maker’s Cocina: Mad Mexican Food. The four-course meal is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and costs $65.

Klub Kölsch at New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 p. 1st St.) is coming to an end. Stop by between 6pm and 8pm to vote on which Kölsch beer you think deserves a coveted spot in the taproom. See the New Barons events page for details. The cost is $10.

Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.) is releasing This Is My Serious Face IPA in the taproom this week. Try it on tap before it’s available in cans on Wednesday 27th July.

Wednesday July 20th

It’s WCPAA night at The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.). A portion of the proceeds benefit the Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Association.

It’s not a Ted Talk, but a Tim Talk might (or might not) be the next best thing. Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) founder Tim Eichinger will host the Tim Talk and walk attendees through a few beer tastings. The self-deprecating Eichinger presents his “worst lecture” from 6 p.m. Tickets are only $25. The Plant & Sip Succulent Bar is coming to The Tap Yard Milwaukee (1555 Rivercenter Dr.) from 6pm to 8pm. For $60 you can build a small garden while enjoying a free beer.

The Component Brewing Company (2018 S. 1st St.) is having a cool and smart event from 6pm to 8pm. The Two Mikes Factory will be hosting a workshop there to create a personalized beer flight board. For $65, you get the glassware, flying board, and painting supplies you need to create something one-of-a-kind. You also get a free beer from Component.

Lakefront Brewery will tap a ceremonial keg of My Turn: Anthony Kellerbier at 6:00 p.m. at the Estabrook Park Beer Garden (4600 Estabrook Pkwy.). The first half keg is free.

Thursday 21st July

The Tap Yard Waukesha is the site of a 5K Beer Garden. Get there at 5:30pm to pick up your running package, the run/walk starts at 6:30pm. The cost is only $37.50.

Friday 22 July

The Supermoon Beer Company (3145 S. Howell Ave.) has two beer releases this weekend and that means the pop-up taskroom is open Fridays from 3pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 12pm to 7pm. The beers are Oaxen, an abbey-style oak-fermented pale ale, and Inside of Outside, an oak-fermented hop season pre-ordered in partnership with the Hacienda Beer Co. Pre-ordering for both began on Monday.

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) releases the latest installment in the Beers about Nothing Innovation Series. Milwaukee Mule is a fruity sour with lime and ginger. Perfect for summer indulgence. Copper mug is optional.

Covid has canceled many Christmas parties. New Barons is doing the same with a Christmas party in July from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Santa Claus is there, because what else does the cheerful old elf have to do in summer?

The 1840 Brewing’s Beer Garden Road Show takes place at night from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lemke Park (10301 Donges Bay Rd., Mequon).

Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) will be offering tastings from Sprecher Brewing from 4pm to 7pm

Saturday 23rd July

1840 Brewing’s grand five-year anniversary week will culminate with a street party from 12pm to 10pm to honor the occasion, 1840 will be launching five different beers and offering live music and food. It’s a must for craft beer lovers.

The Tap Yard Waukesha dedicates a good chunk of its tap equipment to IPAs from a few different breweries. Conveniently, The Tap Yard also gives some taps to 3 Floyds and WarPigs. And they’re holding a meat raffle. Do you need any other reasons to be there?

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing Closer Everywhere, a hazy IPA, and Floating Features, a dry-hopped wheat beer this weekend.

Raised Grain Brewing is bringing their beer to the next Farmhouse to Brewhouse Seasonal Beer Dinner at Old World Wisconsin (W372 S9727 Hwy. 67, Eagle). Locally sourced dinner is from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and costs $99.

Ever wanted to demolish a car? Component Brewing and New Barons give you that chance. Visit the Lincoln Warehouse between 2pm and 6pm to join the two breweries and Bust-N-Stuff in the demo. $20 gets you a minute to bring a sledgehammer to a car. All proceeds benefit the Sojourner Family Peace Center.

There will be a beer and botanical sale from 2pm to 10pm at the Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.). Help Gathering Place clear out their cooler and take advantage of great deals on bottles and cans. The Bayside Garden Center will park a mobile greenhouse with many plants for sale in front of the brewery from 2pm to 6pm.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee will be giving away samples of Hinterland Brewery from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m

Sunday July

Visit The Tap Yard Milwaukee for the BBQ Fest from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A handful of BBQ food trucks will be there, and there are plenty of draft beers to choose from to wash down the BBQ.
