The Atlantic Center for the Arts has several activities planned.
The Nature Sketch Club meets Saturday, July 23 at 11 am at 1414 Art Center Ave., New Smyrna Beach. Ms. Bennett will lead the free outdoor class in sketching techniques and wellness exercises.
Spencer Pettit: Elusiveness and Illusion in Contemporary Art is on view through July 30 at ACA Downtown: Arts on Douglas Feature Gallery, 123 Douglas St., New Smyrna Beach.
The Atlantic Center for the Arts’ 33rd Annual University Exhibition will be on display at the ACA Main Campus Pabst Visitor Center & Gallery through August 6.
Echoes from the Past: Drawings by Dennis Angel is on view at ACA Downtown: Arts on Douglas through August 13.

Artists Workshop Inc. of New Smyrna Beach offers classes and workshops for adults at the Marine Discovery Center studio at 540 Barracuda Blvd.
Studio hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Go Figure exhibition will be on view at the 115 Canal St Gallery until August 30th. The opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The next fall workshops are Abstract Made Easy with Keri Ippolito on September 17-18 and Painting Trees with Confidence with Robin Popp on September 24-25.

hub at the canal
The Hub on Canal offers workshops and classes at 132 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach.
The July exhibit at the Founders’ Gallery is 10, The Sixth Annual Members Exhibit. Hub members interpret the number 10 to celebrate The Hub’s 10th anniversary.
Keep going! with Joni David takes place on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Learn to create a personalized frame using printed materials. The finished frame measures 12 x 12 inches. The basic frame and tools are provided by the instructor. The membership fee is 120 DM, for non-members 130 DM. Art in Film with Paul Marino takes place on Friday, July 22 from 5:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The 2005 film Proof will be screened. Instructor Paul Marino will introduce the film, provide thought-provoking questions and host a post-view discussion. The fee is $7 and includes a glass of wine or bottle of water.
Get Messy and Wild with Liz Carey takes place on Saturday, July 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants will learn the tools and skills to maximize their creative energy by letting go and thinking less. The fee is $60 for members or $70 for non-members plus $10 materials fee payable to the instructor on the day of the workshop. Participants should bring an 18″ x 24″ canvas or larger and watercolor paper. The instructor will provide alcohol inks and acrylic inks, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
Relax and Renew with Liz Carey takes place on Saturday, July 23 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This workshop is a relaxation and recovery experience for busy people and busy minds. The fee is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Participants should bring two blankets and two or three firm bed pillows.

Jane’s art center
A new exhibition by artist Carson Kapp, Animal Farm, will be on view at 199 Downing Street, New Smyrna Beach, through July 30.
Jane’s Art Center in New Smyrna Beach offers year-round pottery classes and workshops for adults and children in the pottery studio.

Arts League of Daytona Beach
The next exhibition at the Art League of Daytona Beach will be a special invitation, Men Paint Women.
Five award-winning male artists will exhibit works at the gallery from July 30th to September 4th. A reception with the artists will take place on Saturday 20 August from 4pm to 7pm.

Museum of Arts and Sciences
The Museum of Arts & Sciences offers events and exhibits at 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach.
Art as Alchemy: An Exhibit from the New World School of the Arts in Miami opens July 23. The focus of the exhibition is an intervention by artists from the New World School of the Arts, a Miami-based conservatory school, featuring five works from the museum’s permanent collection. The exhibition will be on view until October 16th.
Tech Savvy: Home Technology from 1890s to the 1990s opens July 23. The exhibition focuses on the amazing change in home technology over the past 100 years. The exhibition will be on view until December 4th.
MOAS After Hours: In partnership with The Locals Mix meets Monday, July 25 from 5-7pm. It offers exclusive after-hours access to all galleries, happy hour drink specials from Fun Coast Bartending, and live music from Joey Speroni and DJ Jukebox Bully in collaboration with The Locals Mix. There will also be a discussion on “Art as Alchemy”. Dancing Empanada and Wicked Good Mini Donuts food trucks are introduced. Free for members or $5 for non-members.
The Key West: Southernmost USA exhibit is on view. Explore the southernmost point of the continental United States.
Kablam! Pop art/op art from the collection is on view until July 31st.
A River Flows Through It: Hudson River School and other landscapes from the collection will be on view through July 31. The exhibition features scenes of 19th and early 20th century waterways from across the country.
Child’s Play: Historical toys and games from the collection will be on display until Sunday 28th August.
The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens
The Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens has several exhibits and classes at 78 E. Granada Blvd., Daytona Beach.
Sewn, Stamped and Shaped, a collection of Florida fiber art is on view through August 14th.
A workshop, Felted Vessels with Liz Canali, will be held on Saturday 30 July from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Using a circular template, students will work with the seamless, flat resist method. The five-hour workshop is beginner-friendly. Participants should bring lunch or a snack; a refrigerator is available. Participants are asked to bring home two old towels, a quart container, a small kitchen sponge, small sharp scissors, and a plastic bag for transporting wet towels. The cost is $150 per member or $167 per non-member

Summer art classes for children began on June 6th. Tuition starts at $130 per week.
The acrylic painting course for children aged 18 and over takes place on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Classes are led by professional artists Aaron Shelton and Savannah Zanosky. These are two class sessions and accessories are included. Each class is $60 and includes a professionally hand stretched canvas.

Art Museum DeLand
The Museum of Art DeLand is hosting the exhibit “Clyde Butcher, Cuba: The Natural Beauty” through September 18 at 100 N. Woodland Blvd.,
Commissioned by the United Nations to compile a portfolio of Cuba’s mountainous countries, Mr. Butcher embarked on three week-long expeditions to uncharted lands. His photography transcends political boundaries and challenges us to work together to protect natural places around the world.
Admission is free for members and $5 for non-members.

Gateway Center for the Arts
The Gateway Center for the Arts hosts adult pottery classes every Wednesday from 12pm to 2pm at 880 NUS 17/92, DeBary.
The courses are for beginners and advanced. Each session costs $50. Masks are compulsory and class sizes are limited.
Open Studio is every Tuesday at 10am.
Volunteers are needed. Volunteers can attend events and shows for free while earning points toward future classes and shows.
