There is plenty to do in the region this weekend, especially if you love musicals, markets, live music, dining out or art.

Lumen Christi Catholic College in Pambula is presenting on Friday Vaiana Junior On stage, Sugar and Cream brings the best R&B and Reggae tracks to Queanbeyan, the O’Donnell Brothers dedicate a special show to Simon & Garfunkel and Yass has a Christmas event in July.

Kicking off the weekend on Saturday is Corey Legge releasing his latest hit single, there is an acrylic cast painting class in Ulladulla and a psychic awareness and spiritual healing workshop in Goulburn.

There’s a four-course truffle lunch in Bungendore at the end of the weekend and the weekly Sage Farmers markets return next Tuesday.

The students of the Catholic Lumen Christi College take the stage to perform Vaiana Junior this Friday and Saturday in Pambula. With a diverse mix of participating vintages, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina, and orchestration adapted and arranged by Ian Weinberger, this is a superb showcase of local youth talent.

Sugar and Cream will take the stage at the Royal Hotel this Friday night for free live music. Grab your friends and family, have a nice pub dinner, and enjoy a mix of original songs and reggae, R&B, and country music covers.

The O’Donnell Brothers – Simon & Garfunkel Essentials

The Simon & Garfunkel songbook comes to life in this intimate two-hour performance. Featuring the O’Donnell brothers’ synergistic vocals and guitars, it captures the timeless melodies and harmonies of the famous duo.

Wollongong-based singer-songwriter Corey Legge releases his latest single Your blue eyes at Twyford Hall this Saturday. He will perform alternative country and rock solo acoustic songs from his three albums and a handful of covers by the likes of James Taylor and Tyler Childers. With refreshments from 7pm and an opening performance by Sam Stevens to kick off the event, it’s sure to be a fun evening at Merimbula.

This highly interactive workshop will cover the basics of creating your own one-of-a-kind fluid art on canvas. You will learn what liquid art/color pouring is, what types of equipment/supplies are needed, the variety of colors you can use and how to mix them to avoid lumps, different pouring techniques, and tips for storing and painting your paintings. Aside from some mindful, fun social time and possibly a new hobby, you’ll take home your own canvas art. All painting supplies are provided.

Damian from Turalla Truffles prepares a long four-course lunch with the prince of all mushrooms – the black truffle. At this event, presented by Turralla Truffles and Corang Estate Wines, guests will enjoy local dairy products, handmade pasta, bread, fresh vegetables from local farmers, new season olive oil and more. Each person also receives a glass of Corang Estate wine and tastes fruit from key vineyards in Tumbarumba, Hilltops, Canberra District and the Corang River.

The SAGE Farmers Market, held every Tuesday afternoon at Moruya Riverside Park, was born out of community demand for quality local food. They pride themselves on providing consumers with a marketplace where they can access locally grown or harvested food directly from the manufacturer, under safe and controlled conditions.
