Kim Kardashian picks up art supplies for daughter North West, nine, in Agoura Hills – Daily Mail | Candle Made Easy

Kim Kardashian looked every inch the doting mom as she picked up some art supplies with her daughter North West in Agoura Hills, Calif. on Monday afternoon.

As she supported her nine-year-old’s latest artistic endeavor, the 42-year-old reality star wore a black zip-up jacket, a plunging tank top and oversized sunglasses.

The beauty mogul, who recently returned from visiting boyfriend Pete Davidson in Australia, completed her look with a pair of skinny black leggings and trainers.

On the way back to her car, the eldest child of SKIMS founder and Kanye West carried a large Fredrix Blue Label canvas for acrylic, oil and alkyd painting.

For her relaxed outing, little Norden wore a baggy black t-shirt, orange pants and braided pigtails.

In 2021, Kardashian shared a stunning painting her firstborn created, sparking debate as to whether North actually painted the scenic mountainous landscape herself.

“My daughter and her best friend enrolled in a serious oil painting class that will nurture and nurture their talents and creativity,” Kardashian wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time.

The painting has been compared by some to a work of art created by famed television artist Bob Ross.

Almost immediately, some on Twitter voiced their disbelief that the painting was created by North.

After much debate over the painting’s validity – with many comments suggesting that Kim’s child was not responsible for the painting – she added: “How dare you see children doing great things and then to try to accuse them of NOT being awesome!?!? !’

“Please stop embarrassing yourself with the negativity and allow every child to be GREAT!!! NORTH WEST LEMALTE THAT PERIOTDDDDABCDEFGZFDT!!!!!!!’

Others jumped to her defense, including Kim’s BFF Tracy Romulus and the daughter of the woman who taught North how to paint the artwork.

“I’m supposed to be working but I can’t stop thinking North West didn’t paint this,” one person wrote alongside a screenshot of the painting.

“You telling me North West is drawing like she’s Bob Ross out here…and I’m still drawing stick figures over here at 25?!?” another skeptical Twitter user posted.

Another person chimed in: “Kim Kardashian’s kid didn’t draw this. You can even see the Photoshop signature. And even if you didn’t, it’s Kim K, so you’ll have to take everything she says with a heavy spoonful of salt.

“North West didn’t paint this,” wrote one Twitter user who “couldn’t stop thinking about the subject” last year.

Proud of her work: Kim’s pal Tracy Romulus came to her defense, explaining that her daughter Ryan takes the same art class with North. She also urged people to stop spreading negativity

Some online critics even questioned North’s signature in the corner of the painting, claiming it was fake.

“If you zoom in you can see the border on the transparent ‘North =)’, one person noted, while another observed, ‘why does it look like this when you zoom in…hmmm…’

Others, however, stated that painting is definitely within the range of a seven-year-old’s ability.

Kim’s friend Tracy Romulus, whose daughter Ryan is North’s best friend, came to the E! star’s defense, revealing her daughters are attending the same art class together.

She insisted that the artworks are original because the students start with a blank canvas and spend weeks making them.

“I have to comment, but grown adults put a lot of energy into questioning whether my daughter and her best friend actually painted the works that we proudly shared as parents,” Romulus said on her Instagram Stories.

“Both girls are in art class together, learning oil painting techniques from a teacher.

“They spend weeks at a time on a single painting and are incredibly proud of themselves when they complete a project.”

She added that the girls start with a blank canvas and “the works are original.”

“They follow a curriculum, but the works are original, starting with a blank canvas and each child’s interpretation.”

Romulus urged people to stop spreading negativity and “doubting a child’s abilities.”

Meanwhile, Camryn Frederickson took to TikTok to say her mom was the art teacher who actually taught North.
