ONBD X SuperRare: A Safe Space Fights Web3 Burnout – Digital Journal | Candle Made Easy

New York, NY, United States – 07/23/2022 (PR Distribution™) –

ONBD, a pioneering digital art incubator, recently launched its SPACE on SuperRare, the industry’s leading curated NFT art platform. Dedicated to exploring the deep integration of visual arts and digital technology, this digital gallery showcases artworks from a diverse group of artists from both the traditional and Web-3 art worlds.

“We believe that blockchain technology can be revolutionary for the field of visual arts. It enables real ownership of digital assets. Meanwhile, Web 3 communities bring both collaboration and interaction to the art experience,” said Daniel Chen, co-founder of ONBD and director of Chambers Fine Art Gallery.

The burnout society
The opening exhibition The burnout society on ONBD x SuperRare, launched June 16, 2022, with artists Kyle Gordon, Tomoro Kinoshita, Riniifish, Ceren Su, Siyuan Tan, and Thisisarobot. Inspired by the book “The Burnout Society” by German-Korean philosopher Byung Chul Han, the exhibition focuses on the disorder, frustration, anxiety, loneliness and other negativity that has arisen as society has been engulfed by digital technology in recent years Years of rotating lockdowns around the world. The pandemic has changed the way people communicate with each other. In Web 3, this phenomenon was greatly amplified because so many were fascinated by the ever-changing, excitingly rapid evolution of space.

The group of artists in the exhibition includes both crypto art natives and traditional artists who are relatively new to NFTs. Although each has their own artistic style, there is a common visual palette that emerges as they engage with that particular subject. Impressively, each artist explores mental health issues in a personal way; Expressing your vulnerability in this way shows considerable strength and courage.

“Working as a creator and being able to produce my own artwork is a blessing, but there is also immense pressure on me and other creators to constantly engage with followers, release new content, drive hype/value and rush . In a 24/7 and highly competitive environment, there is little room to breathe and pause,” says Kyle Gordon. “While being ‘plugged in’ can be beautiful and meaningful and teach us so much, it’s just as important to disconnect and strive for balance.”

ONBD: a safe space for dreamers and visionaries
Undoubtedly, NFTs have already become a new medium for art, endowing art with utility and allowing creators to engage with their audiences in meaningful ways. When used well, NFTs can help build and reward communities, and even create real social change. ONBD believes CryptoArt will remain an important part of the NFT space. Artists will function not only as the builders, architects, and designers of the Metaverse, but also as dreamers and visionaries who will continue to push the boundaries of what the space can become.

With all this setup, ONBD aims to create a safe space for people to freely express themselves and support one another. Our programs and projects focus on underrepresented communities of artists, and in addition we will work to highlight specific social concerns.

Rather than attempting to replicate the traditional art world in a digital format, ONBD looks forward to creating a more inclusive, global landscape within this new paradigm of how art is created, collected and experienced. Going forward, ONBD will open online and offline space resources to offer creators and collectors an immersive exhibition experience with IRL openings, gatherings, artist talks and other events.

Our Medium newsletter will become a focal point for writers and curators to provide thoughtful news, commentary and critique of NFT artworks, artists and projects in space. We plan to expand this in a DAO-like format, with authors and creators being able to self-publish and members being able to vote on different aspects of the content. This commitment to a shared experience will strengthen and add value to the NFT community as a whole.

Above all, ONBD is committed to creating a safe space for creativity and discourse on Web3. We know we’re not alone in this mission, and we’re encouraged to see our community continue to grow. As always, feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] for questions, suggestions or anything else.
