Sixth Annual Seacoast LGBT History Project Show at Franklin Gallery
ROCHESTER – The Seacoast LGBT History Project is gearing up for its sixth annual show at RiverStones Custom Framing and The Franklin Gallery this August.
What social opportunities and support have been available to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people on the NH Seacoast over the decades? What was the first social group? What bars were there and where were they located? What groups are available now? Find out at the Standing Together: Seacoast LGBT Social and Support Groups exhibit at RiverStones Custom Framing.
“We are extremely excited to bring a portion of our Standing Together exhibit to Rochester for Pride Month,” said Tom Kaufhold, founder of the Seacoast LGBT History Project. “We will be able to reach a wider audience and include items that have never been shown in Rochester before.”
“I welcome back the Seacoast LGBT History Project in its sixth year and look forward to another wonderful exhibition,” said Kris Ebbeson, owner of RiverStones Custom Framing and Franklin Gallery. “It’s great working with Tom and I’m always happy to offer my gallery space to display the artifacts of this very important project.
The opening reception for this exhibition will be held on Thursday, August 4 from 5pm to 7pm at the Franklin Gallery at RiverStones Custom Framing, 33 North Main St., Rochester. The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.
